The sideways PSU is a good addition for Lian Li as a core problem I have faced is wire management which is worse is smaller cases. I use a O-11 D evo and with a couple drives and loads of fans, wiring is still a cluster-mess, and If i need to change/add 1 cable it's a pain to get to the psu. I got tired of psu cabling so much I switched to a sfx psu just to have more room, which does sacrifice bigger gauged wires. Having that bottom mesh panel easily removable with a couple thumb screws is a good move because it makes it still easy to switch the psu off, unlike some other cases i've seen.

15:00 Isn't the PCIe slot unusually low on that particular motherboard? To me it definitely looks like it and I've seen 2 people install some thicker 4080s in this case and be able to use the support bracket just fine. Think it's more a compatibility issue with motherboards with low sitting PCIe slot than it is an issue with thick gpus.

This case is perfect for a Micro atx build with a bit of room on the desk or below. Used up 6 of these now for customer builds and it was a breeze to work in. Definitely use a modular PSU for a really clean build but semi works too. You don't need the SSD's in this unless you are storing a lot of stuff, get a good MB with 3 or more NVME slots and your good to go, and the prices for NVME are nearly identical. This is a great design for minimalists without sacrificing cooling or upgrade-ability .

Top panels don't really need dust filters. Most of the time having fans exhaust through the top is the way to go. Seems like a really solid case. LianLi has been on a tear lately with their cases. Wish they'd make something with a XBox Series X -sized footprint.
@uss-dh79093 ай бұрын
I agree, but I also think it's a good option to have for those that need them. I got some extended family I'll hopefully be building for next year, they got two cats and let me tell you the place is shed city. The desk with the cubby hole is okay, but having the filter ontop will prevent a lot of things from settling down inside. Block off the unused pcie slots with tape, probably tape and paper off a couple other spots like the bottom and call it good. Unlike with my bedroom that I don't let my cat into, but that little shit is a sneaky opportunist, I don't really clean out my desktop since there's basically nothing to clean. Maybe a bit of dust on top, blow out the front mesh if I'm that bored? Extended family though, cleaning will probably be a bi-monthly thing, and I'm going to have to be a real blowhard (huehue) about him keeping that schedule.

I kinda wish they made that lower fan mount adjustable so i could lower it down and put the fans above it instead of below it. IMO cases that allow pure bottom to top air flow seem to perform much better then the normal front to back/top airflow. My current case has no front or rear fan. Just 2 intakes on the bottom and 2 exhausts on the top and it runs cooler and the GPU fans seem to not ramp up as much or as fast as they used to.

I think that the PSU power connector is just an oversight. Everywhere where they have 240v 16A breakers allow for well over 3000W, So this is only a restriction if you have to run your PSU off of 110v / 120v. If I designed something that wouldn't be something I'd think of either.

I'm not even a dad, but with how I'm built, I gotta rock the cargo shorts in summer times, only because I couldn't keep finding pants that fight my tall height + my expanding waist size as I couldn't keep myself in shape when small injuries started adding up over the years xD

I use of course Dynamic O-11 and Lancool Mesh 2 - both about 100-120 Euro. Best Cases ever.

Should totally do a price to size and performance comparison

All well and good, can you stand on the case to change a light bulb though?

I have a lian li lancool II mesh c, in the front has a 360 aio, but I added fiberglass air filter material between the meash front and radiator. Thoughts on adding the extra filter (cut from a roll, purchased from menards)

edge power supply is a nice fit & def helps with routing/cable space issues, but a us$130 minimum power supply would be heavily cutting into this case's price advantage. i could spend the same money on an $80 power supply and a $130 case.

I do like Lian Li products and for a sub-£100 case, it's great... I wanna see the Lian Li 217 with its wood accent pieces, I'm thinking of getting a case with wood and so far the Antec Flux Pro is ticking all the boxes, especially with the temp display.

Very cool and thoughtfully designed case and man it's so cheap too. Bravo

Saw this case and checked my parts list. It was marked compatible so I ordered one. I have every part for my first PC shipping now

At least with a thick GPU (4080 Super Aero here) you can just place a small rubber block in between the power supply shroud and the GPU. Small gap to deal with. In my 4000D, I had to buy a threaded GPU support stand off Amazon. Also, maybe 375mm is accounting for a front radiator, which some people prefer?

I had a O11 Dynamic but decided to change to the 216 on my AM5 build. Lian Li keeps pushing out good products.
