Attacks on humans are relatively rare. Those attacks that do occur overwhelmingly involve food from people. One of the most recent incidents came in 2012, when a tourist in Queensland, Australia, was kicked by a cassowary off a ledge and into a body of water but remained unharmed otherwise. One of the most famous attacks (and the only one known to result in a confirmed death) occurred in 1926: one member of a group of teenaged boys hunting cassowaries was killed after a cassowary leapt upon him while he was on the ground. The bird slashed the boy’s jugular vein with its long toenail., So unless you are on the ground and it slashes your throat. You will be fine!

First yes cassoways are awesome but far cry is a game no one in there right mind would base any aspect of their life on it I finished the game 3 times and I even like hunting but have no desire to hunt endangered game because they're endangered when I hunt it's for something to eat or to protect something plain and simple not for sport

Cassowaries are living dinosaurs. This is why it's a nice theory that dinosaurs might have been birds.

I've slaughtered masses of these birds in Far Cry 3 for money or whenever they're in the way of the car.

Thank goodness I don’t have to worry about the cassowary. Now I can direct all my concerns to man-eating coyotes, turkeys and Canada geese.
