I just don't get what people expect for £32 per night?!!! 5 Star luxury?!.....Looks OK for a place to lay your head down for a few hours (which is basically what the idea is if you go to Blackpool!, you're not wanting to sit in your room all day!). Not great but very decent value for money in this day and age.

Looks okay for £32 a night. Location usually sets Blackpool hotel/B&B prices. Especially if you don't want breakfast, when there are plenty of other places to eat. I think using the pool or gym, would just be because it is there. Personally the upgrade costs, would not even be a selling must for me here.

Hi Deano I’ve given you a thumbs up you pay for what you get at that price you can’t stop in the BIG BLUE or BLVD l never write bad reviews because the Staff there can’t fight back l no l read people went there and left straight away as long l have a clean bed bathroom and breakfast it’s good enough for me.

Stayed there mi self on cheap deal lol wife and daughter not happy but I didn’t mind it lol, was a bit ruff though even for my standard lol, it’s not as bad as the reviews it’s dit to be fair

My first hotel I stayed in 24 years ago can't remember what was like then . Walked both ways to the tower of course totally drunk on way back so didn't care 😅

As someone who knows Blackpool like the back of my hand when u said you were going to "stay in a castle" my first thought was "unlucky deano" one of the worst rated hotels in all of Blackpool. Britannia hotels own or did own pontins and if you know or knew of pontins.... enough said

I've not been to Pontins, or Butlins since i was a child. Maybe i should revisit for a vlog. I walked from the pleasure beach to this hotel, took me hours haha

@@JustDeano you said you used google maps, surely the satalite would have shown you that you where south and a good 5 mile out. 24hour tram ticket roughly 4 quid

Not too bad Deano ,but it's a fare track to center ,that hard pillow looked like a brick, way to hard n the stains were off putting ,hope you find a descent chippy 😊Xxx

I wondered what the Norbreck was like, we've stayed at the savoy (also part of that hotel group) and we were not impressed😢least said the better!!!!!!!!!! So thanks deano for a great honest hotel review, it would be really good if you keep doing these and also helpful. Best wishes 😊

The rooms are cold night the quilt not very thick they put heating off night the meals was nice

I stayed there last october and got a sea view as standard in the £32 price i paid for the breakfast it was good all you can eat that set me up for the day on the whole not a bad place to stay for the money.

I booked the Grand in Scarborough about 15 years ago and the room was full of dirt, the picture rails were caked in dust, I got a refund and booked into the hotel over the road for the same price with meals included.

I worked in Fleetwood for a few months and stayed at a Hotel called the North Euston. Many of the contractors said they were staying at the castle and said it was horrific. Highly recommend the North Euston, loved every moment i was there.

It's alright for what ya pay for tbf. Am not fussy stayed in worse brittania rooms. The breakfasts are dire though😂😂hopefully you do more of these really enjoyed this

It's a better conference centre than a hotel, only ever attended conventions and trade shows here. It's a nice building, had to laugh at some of those reviews you popped up.

Well, your room was a lot better than mine which hadn't been cleaned, opened condom packet next to the bed, hairs and hairclips on the bathroom floor, it was absolutely filthy, the food and pool etc downstairs wasn't tooo bad but the room I wouldn't give to an animal yet alone a human.

My mate (Halifax One) was seeing a girl from Blackpool and warned me not to use the Norbreck! It’s not my cup of tea that Deano, hey thank god it was only one night mate ….. Smithy 👊

I always look for them if I’m having a lads’ weekend as they’re cheap as anything and all I need is a bed. People forget that there’s a reason all these old buildings are bought by Britannia and not companies like Premier Inn - and it’s that they are basically keeping a lot of these buildings on life support - they’d be derelict without them, and the cost to renovate them and replace all the fixtures and fittings would be too much of an investment and a gamble for anyone else. A lot of them would have been demolished by now.
