I find this all so sad. As a child I spent many a happy holiday in Blackpool in hotels and boarding houses. We were always so excited and by simple things like a full English breakfast, grapefruit and cereals. The smell of the rooms, the bandit machine in the hall, and the sea within eyesight.
@Spartanm3335 жыл бұрын
@obrbob194 - yes but I am talking about 1967... as a child. It wasn't bad then, the park and tower circus were lovely. The trams, piers and front were clean. You could still call it tacky in hindsight compared to say Scarborough at the time but it wasn't bad. I haven't been in many years so I wouldn't know these days. The last time was with my daughter at 6 (for nostalgia because that was my age on the first visit) and she is 25 now!

A pleasure to watch! Well produced, nicely filmed and amusing as well. I remember the hotel in its previous existence as the Tara. The droll tones of the narrator and the wry observations are the icing on the cake. I'm not sure that this is the right place to criticise the hotel staff following visits or for a commentary on the hotel itself. I look foward to future episodes.

Stayed in this last year...was not impressed. Lift wasn't working and we were on floor 6 with 7 flights of stairs to climb, food was distinctly average and the dining room smelt of boiled cabbage, the bar, though open had no staff serving and the staff that were all foreign and seemed overworked. The so called cabaret consisted of one bloke singing over backing tracks and the advertised bingo was cancelled. The lady on reception though was a little gem and ended up rushing backwards and forwards between the two bars and the dining room...poor thing totally overworked. Non of the staff in this video were working there and i'm wondering is the place under new management, the place is now looking shabby and needs a makeover. The room we were in was acceptable though and was worth the (low end) price we paid for it.
