You sir, are my hero 😊. A girlfriend once crocheted a cat picture for me with the title “Love Me, Love My Cat”, she even personalized it to look like my Siamese baby. And yes, I once sent a girl packing because he didn’t like her. Seriously, the first time she came to my place he sat under a chair in the next room and just stared at her. A year or so later when talking to a female friend somehow this girls name came up. My friends response was “OH…….her”. She took a breath and then told me that her fiancé had once dated this girl and she “scarred him for life”. 😮. Another female friend related her dislike for this girl some 15 years later after I related this story. My cat really saved my ass, my animals will always come first.

Yes, the rescue centre should know that aggression is often a reaction to extreme trauma and the animal needs a bit of time and a loving home. The cat I have now, who I have had for the last 16 years, also likes to sleep by herself. I get the feeling that she loves her whole other "night world" that's all hers. She patrols and keeps guard, and and plays with her toys by herself, which she clearly likes to do. I get up in the morning and find toys in different places than they were the day before. They are all so different, I love that about them.

Cats know special people. Cats can sense danger, they can sense a loving spirit and your husband and you are loving spirits. God bless both of you and that pretty little baby.

Just like dad was not a cat person until he met Jax, Jax was not a people cat until he met dad. ❤

🍃It sounds like the staff at that shelter needs animal trauma training to recognize the symptoms, my gosh little Jax was in fear. I so glad the two of you found him in time. 😊🍃
