Welcome back. On your analysis of the road game. I think by blocking blue from connecting kept blue and the board from living blue the road. I think had you gone to 510 and held the road back. I think they should then go disrupt your road. Up to that point orange can block the rounding of 2. Blue to cut off the 569.

welcome back, your screen cap cut off part of the right side of the screen to keep track of who had longest road. This was a very hard board for 3rd position, i think 4th 100% made some mistakes on placement. i think you could have still started with 3-4-8 and still won, focus on 5-10 then settle brick port assuming orange doesnt take 5-10, you lock orange out of good sheep, which is what they really wanted for second pick.

Obviously a pipe dream but how good would the 4/8/10 5/6/9 setup have been for blue Wheatless but tons of production with access to wood and ore ports

In retrospect i think the 5/8/10 or the 3/4/8 made more sense for your first placement but it worked out I think the problem is that there isn't a lot of brick on the board so you often end up with a ton of wood with no ports to process it The chances of black taking 4/9/11 pointing left is high, that probably leaves you with the 5/8/10 or the 3/4/8 which is playable but leaves you without ore and it's hard to get road You may have caught a break in this game
