This CAVE Factory Will Change How I Play Satisfactory Forever

I'd like to build some factories in caves but devs recommended a lot of times to avoid that because caves are stil WIP so I don't want my factory burried one day xD

For that waterfall in the middle building up a round pipe structure out of concrete and then using walls on the interior to create a "grate" on top of it to make it look like it's being rerouted instead of just disappearing in midair I think would look nice

FYI @ 4:25, you use the barriers to put down walls. I used to do that, and now I just use the nudge. So much easier.

@@TheSolitaryMonk Or a factory in the shape of a giant moth up really high, with little satellite factories to be the moth's buddies. Remove all the supports so it's floating and deliver resources to and from it by drone (more little moth-like friends). Pioneer access via jetpack, jump pad or hypertube cannon. Edit: maybe use packaged fuel so no power cables to the ground?

I love to build way above nature, such that the whole map covered with platforms and the map is drenched in eternal and perpetual night then Spiders can spawn everywhere. A wonderful hel1scape😂

For the waterfall, try to do a terrace (where you can look all your amazing cave factory !) with the water falling into something like it collects it ? A little arc, i dunno :p because yeah, i already went to this cave, and had the same problem !

I have made a very cool concrete/brutalist factory in that specific location, yours looks very cool! I've built a kind of fountain around the waterfall by creating an abstract shape using coated concrete to make it look wet because I was bothered by how it stopped mid-air haha

I built a huge underground factory in the Rocky Desert in Update 3.... then the devs announced "Don't build in caves! What are you even doing?" before redoing all the undergrounds for Update 4. I should resurrect that save now that Lumen is a thing.

I look at this and go that is amazing. Then I also look at it and go. "This may all be burred when they redo this section of map." If you don't know. Several areas, including this cave is listed as areas that are being remade. Just like how the Dune desert was. This quartz cave may be vastly different when they are done. Look up "Map of Future Changes post Update 8" and you'll see. This area is part of Jungle Spires, this plus the Sothern forest, and the bamboo fields (areas in red on the mentioned map) is all going to be fully remade. Where other areas like the west beach, dune forest (the area with that large oasis and the 4 coal nodes south of this quartz cave) and blue creator lake will be getting foliage changes and landscape polish. It's genially recommended to not build anything major in the locations that are being remade as you risk parts of your factory well... becoming submerged in rock. Node locations is unlikely to change, but everything around them will.

Hey, yeh I'm well aware, but with resources being sent out by train there shouldn't be an issue as to the production, I thoroughly plan on restarting come 1.0 so it's not as big an issue to me - I'm actually releasing a video about the updates tomorrow covering this 😊
