I’m the Plagon player, and you were right about the card choices I had. Command was especially good at removing bowmaster while providing extra value. You were also right about reversal, it’s the only ritual UW has but it’s good enough (also can give you an extra TOR tap which is nice). Grand Arbiter was a suggestion for the Plagon discord, it was pretty good for me but not groundbreaking. It’ll stay for now, but it could totally get cut for something better.

Whoville here! Thank you for the nice words about Yoshi/Thras 😊 You brought up some very excellent questions about my list. Though the list seems light on interaction, the list plays very synergistically, and has modal interaction. Perfect example - I was able to stop ScoopPhase’s win attempt in the top 16 with a well timed noxious revival and I was able to stop Sisay with a swift reconfiguration. I was also able to stop 2 Ad Naus lists with the best interaction (a 5/5 yoshimaru that pressured their life total immensely). Retraction helix and banishing knack double as combo pieces and problem permanent removal. You’re absolutely right that Skullwinder is an odd inclusion. It’s in the list over eternal witness for many reasons: 1. Kinnan can hit it 2. Plagon draws off it 3. It takes 3 triggers off bowmasters to kill it 4. I’m light on counterspells, so I can blink it with Emiel or Displacer Kitten and allow one of my opponents get back their interaction for what’s going on while I pick back up a combo piece. 5. Behind a silence or teferi, it doesn’t matter that it buys an opponent a card back. 6. The deathtouch is relevant when you’re in a tymna pod/against other decks that attack. For anyone who wants to check out the list, I’m thinking about putting together a primer, because if you can’t tell, I like writing a lot 🥸

as a big time CEDH enjoyer i have to say i agree with how awesome the variance is with this format. every video of a top 16 breakdown has a lot of different decks and archetypes. it makes me really happy to see that people can express themselves with their deck creation and have fun playing the best mtg format that there is.

Well rested works pretty fine with devoted druid, drawing 4 cards every rotation and getting extra counters for adding more mana when needed but it's still a peculiar choice

My Broodlord line doesn't use sacrifice/burnt offering because if I have Magda I'll just get Post Citadel if I need. If no dihada my line is get flicker, tap dragon and pay W to flip it back in to get breach, tap Magda and dragon for breach +1 treasure and then flicker dragon for saw to get LED+Mana/ Silence or whatever I need to get out dihada and go from there!

The only time I've actually gotten burgeoning out I went down to 4, a land, esper, burgeoning and idr what else. Ended up with a mocking bird copying esper and a delney ha, caught back up quick and won that game. Didnt see it at all in the tourney tho

Well rested im assuming is good ol kenrith beatdown, goes from 5 to 7 to 9 and so on and draws you an extra card each turn. More niche is it gains you life to dig through your adnaus but thats probably not the reason its there.

Seems okay with devoted druid too even once per turn you draw a card, net a plus one cou tee for extra untaps/mana later and gain 2 life.

Well Rested is a Devoted Druid piece, but as you stated, the Devoted Druid combo isn't the most effective in Kenrith.

Found the line. You need Kenreth, a Devoted Druid under Agatha's Soul Cauldron, a Selvala or a Bloom Tender with a +1/+1 counter on it, a sac outlet to put Selvala/Bloom Tender in the yard. You play Well Rested on the Selvala/Bloom Tender, tap it for mana, untap it using the Devoted Druid untap ability, draw the cards from Well Rested, tap for mana, sacrifice the Selvala/Bloom Tender, play Underworld Breach. Replay Bloom Tender/Selvala and Well Rested, then put +1/+1 counter on it with Kenreth or the Cauldron, then give it haste with Kenreth. Then you somehow mill more stuff to the yard to keep looping the above sequence going somehow.

@MRAIClassroom so i flipped into a tidesprout and had enough mana to cast the elvish mystic in my hand but went for a 2nd spin into a void winnower i could've casted elvish and kept bouncing mox opal and chrome mox to make infinite mana and flip until I got thrasios and either finale of devastation or walking ballista however once void winnower came out the players agreed to allow sabertooth to demonic consultation for toxic deluge which he did and he had a reanimate spell in hand got the tyspout and continued to win

@ I was going to swap for Dimensional because exile is better.. but thought the requirement for colourless mana was kinda limiting. But now that I think of it I can really only Hullbreaker for colourless if Kinnan isn’t on the battlefield.. hmm

@, I would say Kinnan produces colourless mana easily enough too. And the fact that you can flash out the Infiltrator is an added bonus, especially right after someone top-deck tutors.

Through the typical valley floodcaller line of banishing knack/retraction helix and mox amber/any mana neutral/positive rock, you get you loot through your whole deck. It gets better because you can also put infinite copies of a spell on the stack once you assemble infinite mana. I’ve done this numerous games with mindbreak trap ensuring that only my spells resolve at the end of the stack.
