It's not the linearity but rather the lack of open areas. While the dungeons and puzzles and environments are amazing, even the areas between the dungeons play like dungeons and that gets exhausting. The first time I played this game I never new about Beedle's airshop. I always thought it was somewhere in the sky rather than on Skyloft. I probably waisted well over 1,000 ruppees from goddess chests and having a full wallet. Just because I never knew about buying extra wallets. The lost Ruppees eventually culminated, and I got temporary stuck after I upgraded the wrong things, and I was out of Ammo to needed progress, and out of Ruppees needed to buy said ammo. So I spent a solid hour just destroying pumpkins to have enough to refill the ammo and purchase upgrades. From now on when playing other Zelda Games when I find out how to upgrade my wallet, I drop everything and focus on that.

What I love about the Zelda franchise: the zelda's in each timeline uses their brains and powers wisely . All the princesses/ladies in Zelda have personality, but the zelda's (specifically in breath of the wild) doesn't just stans back and do nothing; they use their heads in the best way possible, unlike the links who would run into battle bravely, yet probably a little recklessly
