If SHTF and you lose the power grid (like Louisiana after the last hurricane) you need to have a way to charge the Ebike battery. This can be accomplished several ways but needs to be considered.

He did mention solar as an option. You can take the bike out for longer trips /distances by taking along a solar charger.

Thanks for the information. Is there an electric bike that charges a battery as you ride. I suppose I’m thinking of it being able to switch from using to charging. Or is this a step too far

Don't know much about electric bikes. If you pedal the bike will it charge the battery? Seems like a waste if you get 15 minutes travel on a charge and it doesn't charge as you pedal.

@@Danny_t_cz he may have mis-spoke but he clearly said 15-16 minutes, not miles. Although he did say they claim a 60 mile range. So did he get 15-16 miles/charge?

I have a different brand but the principle is the same. Battery life is dependent on how fast you’re using the watts. Low pedal assist vastly extends battery life and distance. At medium pedal assist he should get at least 2-3 hours, probably more. Obviously when the battery runs out, you can continue to pedal, although the bikes are heavy.

Hey guys dont buy a turbo ant ANYTHING. You can never get a hold of customer service. 3 scooters in and already have a dead battery and no one responding to me from turbo ant. YOU WILL REGRET IT.
