Well, you don't actually have to chase them. If you have the health advantage, just wait where you are. When the timer runs out with your health higher, you win. Not the fun way, but your enemy should also know this, and when they see you not running after them, they'll have to chase after you or just lose.

Well, his parry is meant to be a direct counter to zoning, which allows early transformation and let's you perform a high damage combo that only takes two uses to win a game, all while building meter if using the combo correctly. He also has a really good unlockable that deals with certain annoying counterattacks, and is good for getting a starting combo since it lodges them in the ground, and can often not be stopped because he jumps into the air with it. Returning to the parry, although it takes decent start up time, you can reduce your opponent's pressure by armoring through moves and attacking immediately after. Because of these things, I kinda think Fat Gum is an okay character, although slow. After all, every... Some, characters in My Hero One's Justice have weak points.

As the current nr 1 fatgum on pc I got a quick fact about fatgum. you can armor while dashing to get past projectiles i call it superman move and even 100% dekus PU1 can be countered. Still a bad character but i cant stop. I did Get nr 1 by mostly losses, cause of fatgums tracking being bad or too slow. His best move is his Red Grab on SkinnyGum it beats most yellow and tracks super.

With Fat Gum there is a more optimal bnb. It’s A A A TQ2, and it can very situationally wall splat. I know it doesn’t add much to making fat form better but it’s something. I mainly just try to be less aggressive and more reactive due to his slow frame data.

If you hold his perry until u see a red outline and release it to hit the opponent u will turn into slim gum without needing to use your ultimate. He is a good counter to power houses

I call the two forms: Fat Gum and Fit Gum. Also, he has certain moves that go through projectiles in Fat mode, his absorb can take some projectiles as well. I saw it absorb 100% Deku’s level 1 projectiles.

Experiment with the new just gaurd stall. When I want an aireal gang orca assist i will jump gaurd immediately then call assist which allows me to use the grab assist for gang orca. Or the projectile assist for mina. Then I'll also do it during characters get up to switch up timing. Against them.

So Globku, I have just recently gotten MHOJ2 and I have been struggling to find who I would main but I found him today and already got on the leaderboards for him. I have been meaning all for one since this morning and been loving it. So I would love if you could please do some gameplay as him. He is super fun to me with some pretty cool mix ups for different looking combos that work in different situations. I feel he has a lot more potential in this game than the last one. Hey Globku, I created a combo for Iida, which is who I Main, and wanted to know, if its any good. Its umm regular attack x3 then tilt quirk 2 then tilt quirk 1 and then if they recover on air, then regular attack x3 And then finish it with a tilt quirk 2. If i have asissts, i use Camie and Jiro. I can extend it by using Camie’s grab after tilt quirk 1, and extend it with a regular attack x3 or 4 depending on if I feel like finishing it up with a quirk 2 to Try and get a wallsplat. Could you maybe try it out? Im new to OJ2 and didn’t Play OJ1 so I’ve been trying my Best to get better, you can also extend the combo with a dash cancel, but I dont do that unless its like final round and they’ve got 5% left, thank you!

He deals a shit load of damage on his own and has 3 super armor moves. However his biggest weakness is his jogging move is literally walking, hes THE slowest character in the game including his dash and he has no zoning tools or any good engagements whatsoever so youre gonna have a really hard time dealing with zoners or people that like to play keep away so is best to use assist that stuns opponents or protect you in someway, atleast for beginners

I personally play far gum and I think you're using the wrong assist Rappa is right but use Caime instead of Jiro then here is a combo it's normal square combo then his uppercut then cancel into his two air attacks and as long as your close enough do his o grab and then either have Camie grab the opponent or have Rappa do his PU 1 then dash cancel and do two air hits and the uppercut if it rappa you choose you can also do this with AFO and you can also do square combo into the uppercut and then the reguakr triangle that can wall splat if done right

*warning, longass personal fatgum breakdown below- oops* huh i didn't know about that technical slimgum combo, interesting.. that being said i still think fatgum can pull off some pretty good damage using extensions, a very basic combo I use with fatgum is pretty much the same as the one you showed only I dash cancel on the uppercut with allows me to go into an aerial combo ending with a knockdown thanks to the aerial yellow (which means 3/4 times i can extend it even further because people always think they're safe on recovery from it lol). It only uses one dash cancel and the meter spent from it is easily recovered by the combo itself so I find it very worth it. Otherwise extending with assists is also very easy and can easily go above 10k damage with one assist if i recall correctly, and that's before throwing in supers. Other than that, his toolkit is actually pretty decent (and ill be honest i've yet to actually incorporate it all in my playstyle lol) his red attack misses easily but it does put the other character in the ground which means a great setup for combos, imean you could even just go straight into a level 2 to get slimgum right away after a red attack. I got a little frustrated with his aerial yellow at first because it seems to miss alot at first but i later discovered just how valuable it is when used from long-range as it travels *really* far which makes it extremely useful against zoners. It guarantees a knockdown which again 3/4 times also guarantees a combo. But even if it misses it's still very useful to close the gap against spamming chisakis lol His absorption counter is very slow but it's also very useful for baiting red attacks out of the enemy, i've done it several times -sometimes unintentionally admittedly- and it has helped me out quite alot, besides it's really not that hard to land if you manage to get a good enough read on your opponent by the second round. With all that being said I will still admit that fatgum can be excruciatingly slow, his whiffs (even for normal attacks) are super easy to punish because the recovery is so. long. I have gotten used to it to some extent where it doesn't really bother me like it used to but I do agree with the video on this one. I don't think he's a top tier character by any means lol but he's still my main and I believe he is viable nonetheless.
