I think Shino is another Madara situation but he's a good guy and a popular character so instead of bullshiting a way to kill off Shino like what happened to Madara Kishimoto has to leave him out of the story otherwise the stakes will drastically drop. Almost every arc would have been cut extremely short if Shino was involved in a support role.

A couple of the Six Paths Sacred Treasures _would_ be highly effective. Using the Kokinjo, the Shichiseiken, and then the Benihisago in order to curse Daemon's "word soul" is _easily_ a viable method of dealing with him... too bad about Tenten's pathetic Chakra reserves.

That's a very interesting theory. Tenten is definitely an underrated character, and it would be cool to see her play a more prominent role in the story. I think it's possible that Kishimoto was saving Tenten for a big reveal later in the series. Perhaps she will be the one to train the next generation of ninjas, or perhaps she will play a key role in defeating the final villain. Note: Whatever the case may be, I'm excited to see what Kishimoto has in store for Tenten in the future. She's a great character, and I think she has a lot of potential.

Imo the fight vs Ishiki otsustuki should’ve been like the konoha 12s last stand avengers kinda battle, we’re the 12 have to run out the clock on ishiki and they just go balls to the wall and do everything in their power to stall him out till he dies. Have everyone bust out their strongest attacks and just coordinate to get a few hits in, have shino use his insects to make an opening for rock lee to use the 8 gates and land hits on ishiki but in the end despite all the damage ishiki is still standing then you have Naruto and kurama use baryon mode to finish the battle. You get an epic fight for the og characters, kuramas sacrifice means more because it’ll have felt like a true last ditch effort to win after giving literally EVERYTHING you had to win and you could sprinkle in some deaths to motivate the next generation, like imagine if rock lee, choji and kiba die in this battle then you have Naruto get sealed away, it would be the motivation shikamaru needs to be hokage because then everyone from the Sasuke retrieval team would’ve been killed off ( Naruto isn’t dead but shikamaru believes he is ) this making shikamaru the last survivor from that team. Cho Cho motivated by the death of her father who in his dying breath tells his daughter “she’s beautiful no matter her size” metal lee is motivated to surpass his father who dies as a hero of the leaf. If shino dies boruto is hurt because that was his first teacher and his death would affect hinata who becomes the last member of team 8 alive. The battle could’ve been the swan song for the og Naruto cast before the next generation steps up in two blue vortex

Obviously it wasn't a coincidence that Shino was "away from the village" everytime his powers would've been most useful. On one hand, it could just be for plot-sake to avoid caveats. BUT it could also be because Kishimoto recogonizes Shino as a hard counter, but wants to save it for a future fight. Maybe they decided to portray Shino as a "mid" sensei in Boruto to intentionally make everyone counting him out - characters and viewers. Then he'll have a "Might Guy moment" where when their backs are against the wall, Shino steps up and everyone's like "wtf shino get back you dont stand a chance!", but then he has a powerup moment as we see the purple flow across his skin (like his version of Jin Cloak) and he goes absolutely Sicko Mode, soloing the verse. OHH The potential lore!

Im sorry but this isnt realistic at all. Ishiki can go across dimensions, his durability (and hence stamina against poisons) are probably the greatest we've ever seen, he can literally fly and his speed is WAY too fast for Shino or any aburame bug. Add on to that, he's an otsutski, his sensing abilities are top notch, he'd be able to determine life-forms around him and Shino aint going to even last a minute once Ishiki sense him.

I will never not be salty that Shino was not the designated jounin leader for Boruto's team. He has EVERYTHING going for him. Incredible power. Good at Taijutsu. A tie towards Boruto through his mother. A design that use to be ALL the drip. Still somehow a mysterious character despite being there since the second season. Abilities that can counter Mizuki's snakes, Boruto's everything, and Saruba's sharingon. Not to mention if these three go off on their own, he would ALWAYS be able to come in and find him. Not to mention it would have kept a tradition going forward of a character always hiding part of their face. With Kakashi, it's his mouth. With Shino, it's his eyes. Mot to mention he has a serious and no nonsense style of fighting that would help ground the team, as well as act as that cool sensei to imitate. If they used shino properly since the beginning, than there would not have been a reason to bring in Sasuke as Boruto's teacher. Except for drama (which sure go ahead.). Also, gonna say it, Konoharmaru should not be teaching this team. He has too much of a familiar relationship with Boruto. And there is a tradition that the Sarutobi's teach the Inoshikacho. He should be the teacher for THAT team.

The Mitsuki Shino matchup is contentious. They’re both holding back. Naruto thinks Shino wouldn’t genuinely try to hurt his student and credits the win to that, but no one in the leaf not even Naruto at that point are aware that Mitsuki is a perfect sage. Either way, needing the first perfect snake sage in history to take you down is exclusively a positive mark on your résumé.

I completely agree with the analysis. The situation proves Naruto's and Sasuke's arrogance/self-reliance and lack of knowledge of the abilities of other ninjas in Konoha. If they had added Shino and maybe Rock Lee and eventually Ino from very far away (this would be very risky) to the team to fight against Isshiki, they would have had the upper hand. The bugs may poison and distract Isshiki and absorb Isshiki's chakra. Furthermore, if Isshiki were to shrink himself, he would have to deal with giant insects. Rock Lee opening 6 gates could protect Shino and attack Isshiki directly... But hey, battles have to be incredible. Just imagine, why doesn't Isshiki grow one of his rods right into Sasuke's or Naruto's skull?

Nick it’s also possible that the reason gen jutsu doesn’t work on Shinos bugs is because of evolution. He’s possibly been breeding them to be smaller for that very reason. Perhaps Yojis bugs were bigger and that’s why tsukiomi worked.

Would Daemon's attack hit himself? Because even if we consider reflection activating in this scenario, wouldn't the attack get reflected back onto Daemon as the originator of the attack.

I don't think Shino's bugs would stand a chance against Shibai. The bugs would be used with the intent to harm him and thus, his reflection would probably push him back. He also doesn't have a physical body anymore. Shibai can probably defeat anyone in the series at this point.

It's more egregious than that. _All_ of Shino's insects survive by eating Chakra, the _one resource_ that _all_ characters in the series depend on to function and survive. He wouldn't even need to physically attack Daemon with his bugs... he could just have them consume Daemon's Chakra until the punk keels over. There wouldn't even be a scratch on him; totally running out of Chakra simply means certain death.

Poison should work faster since Jigen shrinks and the poison can travel faster. The 6 tails has poison. If everyone meets in that inner plain of Naruto they can use abilities on his behave. I was so angry how the Jigen fight went.

The Aburame Clan ist criminaly overlooked in the Plot in general. They should bei able to do so much. Not only assasinate BBEGs but Long distance Tracking of enemy Groups, actual spy-work and iirc the can redustrebute Chakra. So they could keep some edgelords are always out of chakra (Sasuke) in the fight longer. Also Shino ans Rock Lee are my favorite Naruto chars in general so I'd be happy if they could get any respect again.

honestly i don't think if it works. If Damon reflects intentthen he will reflect Shino's intent of using his bugs to kill him and from there on i do not believe it matter that shino usually controls his bugs. it's ninjutsu vs shinjutsu. you won't find a way around an intent deflection no matter how clever, because your sneaking intent is killing intent and you still act to get that intent exectuted, be it in a roundabout way. So sorry but Shino would just get eaten by his own bugs because I do not believe a shinjutsu cares that you are immune to what you tried to murder a god with.

You know, the thing with beating someone like Damon is that he presumably just relfectd back the kind of damage you wouldve done. If that's the case, if you deal damage to him that you're immune to, can bypass or can regenerate or fight past, couldnt you effectively negate the advantage of Reflection? Like for example, if I decided to cut his stomach open while I have the Hydrofication Technique, then yes, he'll cut my stomach first, but it will just turn to water, reform and I can follow through with the attack.

But even then, I'd like to point out, their is another much easier way to take him out. Reflection only works when he's touching someone. Literally, all you have to do is get him by himself and keep your distance.

Shino would've done some damage to Ishiki, possibly causing him to retreat, thats cuz Ishiki doesn't have any big jutsu, he only have sukunahikona and daikokuten, and uses taijutsu with chakra rods. But, but, but. Against Kawaki, who can use giant shinobiware blast can wipe out any and all bugs in instant, Same with Momoshiki, He uses many, many, and maaannyy, gigantic flashy jutsu, he can easily wipe out any and all bugs in instant, Momoshiki is just a straight up bad match for shino. Sure, Shino can beat ishiki and urashiki and kinshiki, cuz they mainly use taijutsu and single target attacks. But no way he can beat Momoshiki, kawaki or boruto, as they all have giant scale attacks that can attack on a large scale. Same with Daemon, Shino's bugs won't work, daemon cannot be poisoned, he neither has biological body nor does he have same durability as a human, who are we kidding. Shino cannot attack Eida, cuz...♥️

If they just brought one more decently strong person with them when they fought Jigen the first time. They would have absolutely killed him. Naruto and Sasuke fighting alone makes no sense. Have them go in and be the distraction while someone like Ino or Shino slips in a technique. Isshiki may break out of Ino’s mind transfer but it would still hit him and that would stun him for a second. And Shino’s poison would absolutely work on Isshiki because poison worked on Urashiki. They’re plan to fight Isshiki was so dumb. Send off their strongest assests to fight Isshiki alone when they know he’s way stronger? That would just make them lose their strongest assets and then Isshiki could just teleport back and win. Their plan should’ve been to all jump Isshiki at once, including Naruto and Sasuke.

The shino theory is interesting, but let's say hypothetically ishiki cloaks himself with chakra as defensive barrier rendering shino's bug abilities useless??....I mean he could conjure bugs that eat away chakra or something, but then again ishiki is an Otsutsuki with an crazyyy amount of chakra, so that wouldn't be highly effective 🤔

Shino will defeat Shibai? I highly doubt that. Isshiki one-shotted Choji, Tenten, Kiba, Rock Lee and Konohamaru with a blink of an eye. Good thing Shino wasn't there, otherwise we would've not seen the Baryon mode 😄

Off topic question but theoretically couldn't Obito "halfway" suck up someone into Kamui or "halfway" eject them from Kamui to rip them in half or into pieces? Kinda like how Kakashi used it in Shippuden? I feel like he could but plot didn't allow it because it would have destroyed Kakashi in their own on one plus he needed to take a raikiri to the chest anyway. But I think based on everything we know about how Kamui works, he should technically be able to straight up bisect someone into Kamui then just eject the other half of their corpse after they're dead. Just thought it was fun to think about.

I really don't think Shino's bugs would work on Daemon. Shinos bugs are as much a weapon for him as a gun would be for someone. If you shoot Daemon, the bullet wouldn't be reflected at the gun, it would be reflected to where the bullet was going to land, so if Shino for instance was going to put his bugs up Daemon's ass (just an example) for them to expand, theoretically it would just be reflected towards Shino, since it would be the same as attacking Daemon with any other type of weapon.
