That's a very interesting theory. Tenten is definitely an underrated character, and it would be cool to see her play a more prominent role in the story. I think it's possible that Kishimoto was saving Tenten for a big reveal later in the series. Perhaps she will be the one to train the next generation of ninjas, or perhaps she will play a key role in defeating the final villain. Note: Whatever the case may be, I'm excited to see what Kishimoto has in store for Tenten in the future. She's a great character, and I think she has a lot of potential.

Obviously it wasn't a coincidence that Shino was "away from the village" everytime his powers would've been most useful. On one hand, it could just be for plot-sake to avoid caveats. BUT it could also be because Kishimoto recogonizes Shino as a hard counter, but wants to save it for a future fight. Maybe they decided to portray Shino as a "mid" sensei in Boruto to intentionally make everyone counting him out - characters and viewers. Then he'll have a "Might Guy moment" where when their backs are against the wall, Shino steps up and everyone's like "wtf shino get back you dont stand a chance!", but then he has a powerup moment as we see the purple flow across his skin (like his version of Jin Cloak) and he goes absolutely Sicko Mode, soloing the verse. OHH The potential lore!

Imo the fight vs Ishiki otsustuki should’ve been like the konoha 12s last stand avengers kinda battle, we’re the 12 have to run out the clock on ishiki and they just go balls to the wall and do everything in their power to stall him out till he dies. Have everyone bust out their strongest attacks and just coordinate to get a few hits in, have shino use his insects to make an opening for rock lee to use the 8 gates and land hits on ishiki but in the end despite all the damage ishiki is still standing then you have Naruto and kurama use baryon mode to finish the battle. You get an epic fight for the og characters, kuramas sacrifice means more because it’ll have felt like a true last ditch effort to win after giving literally EVERYTHING you had to win and you could sprinkle in some deaths to motivate the next generation, like imagine if rock lee, choji and kiba die in this battle then you have Naruto get sealed away, it would be the motivation shikamaru needs to be hokage because then everyone from the Sasuke retrieval team would’ve been killed off ( Naruto isn’t dead but shikamaru believes he is ) this making shikamaru the last survivor from that team. Cho Cho motivated by the death of her father who in his dying breath tells his daughter “she’s beautiful no matter her size” metal lee is motivated to surpass his father who dies as a hero of the leaf. If shino dies boruto is hurt because that was his first teacher and his death would affect hinata who becomes the last member of team 8 alive. The battle could’ve been the swan song for the og Naruto cast before the next generation steps up in two blue vortex

Im sorry but this isnt realistic at all. Ishiki can go across dimensions, his durability (and hence stamina against poisons) are probably the greatest we've ever seen, he can literally fly and his speed is WAY too fast for Shino or any aburame bug. Add on to that, he's an otsutski, his sensing abilities are top notch, he'd be able to determine life-forms around him and Shino aint going to even last a minute once Ishiki sense him.

I will never not be salty that Shino was not the designated jounin leader for Boruto's team. He has EVERYTHING going for him. Incredible power. Good at Taijutsu. A tie towards Boruto through his mother. A design that use to be ALL the drip. Still somehow a mysterious character despite being there since the second season. Abilities that can counter Mizuki's snakes, Boruto's everything, and Saruba's sharingon. Not to mention if these three go off on their own, he would ALWAYS be able to come in and find him. Not to mention it would have kept a tradition going forward of a character always hiding part of their face. With Kakashi, it's his mouth. With Shino, it's his eyes. Mot to mention he has a serious and no nonsense style of fighting that would help ground the team, as well as act as that cool sensei to imitate. If they used shino properly since the beginning, than there would not have been a reason to bring in Sasuke as Boruto's teacher. Except for drama (which sure go ahead.). Also, gonna say it, Konoharmaru should not be teaching this team. He has too much of a familiar relationship with Boruto. And there is a tradition that the Sarutobi's teach the Inoshikacho. He should be the teacher for THAT team.

The Mitsuki Shino matchup is contentious. They’re both holding back. I completely agree with the analysis. The situation proves Naruto's and Sasuke's arrogance/self-reliance and lack of knowledge of the abilities of other ninjas in Konoha. If they had added Shino and maybe Rock Lee and eventually Ino from very far away (this would be very risky) to the team to fight against Isshiki, they would have had the upper hand. The bugs may poison and distract Isshiki and absorb Isshiki's chakra. Furthermore, if Isshiki were to shrink himself, he would have to deal with giant insects. Rock Lee opening 6 gates could protect Shino and attack Isshiki directly... But hey, battles have to be incredible. Just imagine, why doesn't Isshiki grow one of his rods right into Sasuke's or Naruto's skull?

It's more egregious than that. _All_ of Shino's insects survive by eating Chakra, the _one resource_ that _all_ characters in the series depend on to function and survive. He wouldn't even need to physically attack Daemon with his bugs... he could just have them consume Daemon's Chakra until the punk keels over. There wouldn't even be a scratch on him; totally running out of Chakra simply means certain death.

The Aburame Clan ist criminaly overlooked in the Plot in general. They should bei able to do so much. I mean, Isshiki spends a lot of time standing still and monologuing 🤣 also, Shino could load his bugs onto Naruto and/or Sasuke and the bugs could hop onto Isshiki when those two attack him, bypassing the speed issue.
