This channel is probably the only thing which motivates me to keep on playing guitar and getting better. Thank you Mike!

Damn, just when I thought I'd finally finished mixing, I gotta go back and record another guitar track! The chorus is C, D, E, - G, C, E, - C, D, E - G, D, B, that counter part is just what it needs!

Any tips for improving on techniques for soloing? I’ve stuck with only like 3
@MadNoisy2 күн бұрын
Alternate picking. Search that and you''ll improve. Don't worry about shredding, it's about the picking technique and do that without having to think about it. Keep on practicing. You can find scales on the internet (Major scale, Minor scale or pentatonic). 🤘🤘

Opeth do this alot with different melodies (octaves and chords) - then switching to major unexpectedly.

Is that the ultimate form of resolving a chord progression? To start on a more sombre, sad, possibly sinister chord, only to resolve it with its major equivalent. Evoke a feeling of introspection within the listener, who then leaves with the sensation that it's all going to be okay...or is it 🙂

That's what I like about music from movies. They can bend it to whatever the audience needs to hear. Crazy stuff 🤘🤘

I got really tired of NIN when I realised trent loves singing the major third over any minor progression. Yeah it sounds good. Occasionally. He does it SO OFTEN.

I don't like nine inch nails, radiohead, or the beatles, this chord progression is just kinda annoying sounding too a Metal and Blues Guitarist like myself. When I record riffs, they're in minor or major, I don't mix the chords because the added 5th on a power/five minor chord has a far more visceral and brutal tone too it, and I prefer it when recording metal riffs because it just feels right. When I'm recording blues riffs, I use minor chords along with blues chords. Call me old-school, but I like what I'm able to create with what I already love. Take care.

The ads in your thumbnail (NIN, Raidohead, and Squid Game) were distasteful to me and caused me to unsubscribe. If they're not ads, then they're trying to get people to click on the video just because of the names. This is awful, and extremely dishonest.

Ads? They are literally what this video is about. 🤣

Calm down I get it if you don't have eyes or ears to see or hear when he mentioned them and when he spoke about how those specific bands use those chords but you literally watched the video and still missed it🤣
