I got my butt kicked by this deck a day after Mythical Island’s release. I could tell the player was excited to pull out the Flute-combo, but it was shockingly entertaining to watch my opponent go off with Victreebell

This deck is way better dropping pidgeots for Exeggutor EX and adding in Erika's. This version seems bad. Can even squeeze in a single Celebi for yet another win condition and it keeps up fine competitively

I dont really enjoy the competitive because of how bad it feels to start first, coin flip luck, slow players etc however watching this was really fun! I enjoy seeing what unique strategies cards are capable of

@Luminous000 The opponent getting an energy before you makes a difference in so many ways.. tynamo vs say staryu, if tynamo attacks first, Staryu is on 10hp, then tynamo is on 10, then Staryu dies. If Staryu attacks first Tynamo is on 10, Staryu is on 10, Tynamo is dead + if starmie EX was in hand it is ready as you have 2 energies.. that is a massive difference.. having that extra attack advantage is crazy! One more example Voltorb vs Articuno EX. Assuming no other trainers etc and guaranteed evolution if voltorb starts then Articuno can get blizzard and win, but if Articuno starts it will die before it can use blizzard and will only attack once because volt/elec would do 40 + 40 + 90 where as Articuno would do 0 + 0 + 40

I've been using a similar deck even before pokemon flute has been added, but with a regular pidgeot instead of pidgeot ex. Great thing is, it's one of a few deck that actually benefits from getting first and it also gives you a huge control over the opponents bench. The only issue always was, it's too much depending on getting into those 2nd stages as fast as possible. If we get an item that allows us too search for 1st and 2nd stage pokemon instead of basic, it will reach it's greatness.

130 HP’mons like Celebi are why I use double Giovanni in my Pidgeot deck (I run the build w/ Aerodactyl to confirm Pidgey turn 1 every game).

I used to hold on to my prof research to protect them from red cards, but now red card is so rare i just use em when i get em if im not planning on playing another supporter

I tried to make this deck work since the release of the new pack, it was just too inconsistent for me, couldn't even string 3wins together in a row so i gave up Trialling a Victreebel, Butterfree, Mew deck right now & it's fairing much better, still a far cry from my other built & tested decks though

If you like pokeflute you should take a look at what I came up with. 2 x Greninja line (6) 2 x Lumineon line (4) 2 x Articuno (2) 2 x Pokeflute (2) 2 x Pokeball (2) 2 x Profesor´s Research (2) 1 x Sabrina (1) 1 x Leaf (1) (20) It´s a Benchsniping deck wich hard counters Druddigon Meta Very strong against Blaine with lumineon havin 0 retreat cost and hitting for 50 + greninja (20) you can even get the 70 hp base pokemons down Articuno is a good wall for the beginning and you don´t even need misty cause the others got so low energie and retreat cost

Usually Pokedex is use with Pokeball. You use Pokedex to check the top 3 cards. If any card you want from the top 3 cards, don't use Pokeball. Otherwise use Pokeball and your deck will shuffle. I think use this in the very beginning when I don't have other supporter cards. It's actually kinda useful for stage 2 deck. You have to know some of them might just start the game, not all people have money to get all the cards from day 1.

Been playing this for a good bit! I say drop Pidgeot EX in favor of the original for real fun shenanigans that can potentially slow your opponent from KOing you allowing you to rob games!

Pidgeot’s ability works from the bench and also it doesn’t have to be a basic Pokemon.
