@@ERealslimshady Long story short, The Rules Committee, that Olivia, it on, banned 4 cards about 1-2 weeks ago. The RC Has been getting some hefty abuse. Olivia, sadly, has been getting it worse than others, despite it being made publicly known that Olivia was not in favor of banning all the cards.

I believe the mana value of an X spell when it is on the stack (which is when Lord of Pain's cast trigger sees it) includes the value of X, so casting the planeswalker should have done 4 damage.
