The fact that GxAce is under 1m subs is astonishing. The amount of production and story telling is unrivaled and unparallel to any photography/cinematography youtuber. Dude deserves way more recognition for his work.

You quite easily have the best aesthetics across any channel. Really love the soft green/blue colors with the glowing text and just the overall dark scheme of everything. I really haven't gotten into cameras, literally never owned one, slowly getting into them through your channel and some others, but despite not really being into it, your content is just that enjoyable. Feels like I am watching a movie. Also weird that people dislike the voice so much seeing as it only takes up like not even 5% of the video..

I think the biggest thing that draws me into these videos (besides great storytelling and exceptional cinematography) is the nostalgia that radiates from the casual retro items in the composition of each shot. It's a very oddly satisfying feeling to see and ESPECIALLY hear even tho I don't even know what they are in most videos. I legit pause sometimes, keep looking at the items, and just for a minute let my thoughts take me back to those times (although I'm only born in 97), in a mix of memories and imagination. God I love those times. Thank you gxace for presenting something as high in quality as this.

Always love your style of videos, even if I have no need for anything in them. Little Canon RP with a 40 2.8 on an adaptor has more use than any L zooms or sigma art 1.4's.. light, good enough. If I wanted to jump to GFX, I'd get the 55mm only and call it a day. And just shoot the everliving hell outta it. But I don't honestly think it'll make a difference for me. At least one not worth that price difference.

I beliebe their 65mm has been the enthusiast's pick tho I prefer this focal lenght. Teh 65 is 1 kilo while this is actually lighter at 850g. And cheaper i believe at 600 compared to 900. I'm excited to give this a try in the future, for me it is very much an assignment weight choice not so much for travel. For that I have jsut picked up the Mamiya 80/1.9N with half the weight.

hey! just a lil constructive criticism about the audio that isn't about the robot voice (which I like personally, gives a lot of character to your videos). I just wanted to say that the sidechaining on the music from the dialog is a lil over the top and becomes really distracting, I actually find it quite uncomfortable to listen to on speakers or headphones, probably something to work on a bit :)

I figured out why I love the look of your photos. It reminds me of photography tumblr circa 2009. Snaps that use moodiness and the mystery of the unsaid/unshown to create atmosphere and visualise place as story. I think it does a lot more than the current trend of documenting loneliness, because the conceptual negative space is a bit more open to narrative. Kind of like a set of establishing shots from an A24 film, I'm pressed to see a pattern rather than just relate to the feel. It looks really great when it's all collected and consistent like this. 👌
