Idk I have a conspiracy theory about avoid list. Whenever I avoid someone next games will be even worse teammates and when I go into list and delete the avoids I suddenly get normal teammates again. Anyways the chance that you will have the same person in your next game are too low for me to risk trigger this. You can try my thory and avoid some random ppl. Make your avoid list full and watch if you get decent teammates. I bet u wont

Just saying I know how you feel. Only tried playing comp to earn the rewards. Ended up from diamond 2 to back to gold 3 for DPS. Some games my tank or support would be great and some really, really terrible. But I ruined my experience in comp for awhile

as much as i like the color purple i didnt even bother playing to get it, end of season games combined with playing tank is something i wont wish even to my enemies, its a mix of everything tbh, qp people coming to get their reward and the end of season gremlins playing for comp points

That is true that it was at the end of the season. I didn't even consider that, you make a good point. I wonder why they didn't start the event earlier... I imagine being a tank main is rough already, but yeah sprinkle in a little more chaos and that must make things a lot worse.

well the simple answer to why they didnt do it earlier is just player retention most likely, would love if they did it at the start of the season but it does make sense they want people to come back at the end, as for tank ya it is rough at time especially when playing solo q

I know how you feel. I also work throughout the week, and only had a few actual days to attempt to get the rewards. I feel like they should at least extend the time limit for the event for people who don't have as much time as others.

i had a tank 2 times in a row that played roadhog at range and was afk 75% of the match. i went on a 9 losing streak and a sleepless night. i also went from gold to low silver in dps. fuck drives. fuck qp warriors. and fuck this entire losing deducts points system.

i was plat 1 when i started the event and when the weekend ended i deranked to gold 3 and only got to the second nametag. last drive event i completed the last one in 2 days and ranked up to diamond 3. this drive event felt so terrible with the toxic teammates and the garbage players they put you with. im a support main and its so frustrating not being able to do anything with dookie ass teammates, i fully agree with this whole video and blizzard needs to change something with the matchmaking system during these drive events for sure

That is a tough de-rank I am sorry for your loss :(. I do feel that the matchmaking system is a little wonky right now. I feel like most games are either you win by a landslide or get spawn camped. I bet its rough being a support main because you have to rely on your teammates more.

What I really don't understand is why they don't announce when the event will happen. It's super annyoing. Also, with the reward only lasting for one season it felt to me like it wasn't worth it to grind for it the second time again.

Idk man feels like a coincidence and you just had a bad streak. I got the rewards in one session and games felt same as ever, for better or worse. Plus if your teammates are throwing you can’t complain about them being on your team next game when you can just avoid them

It might have been a coincidence and you might be right. However, this was one massively unfortunate coincidence XD. You're also right about the avoid feature. I should probably start using it more often than I am now. Congrats on the title though!

marvel rivals is in as bad as a state as OW is both are insanely fun under the right circumstances but can be frustrating at times both have issues but in my opinion bare with me here OW2 is still way ahead in mechanics and functions compared to marvel rivals and its not even close the only reason marvel is getting swarmed is due to the fact its new and exciting. in shot both are fun games but if you wane true joy of achieving something please play OW because marvel rivals is a joke and has a insanely low skill ceiling you will not reach greater highest on it. side not on 6v6, FUCK MAN if you don't crank the numbers up to oblivion or to the ground shit isn't happening we are better of with 5v5.

I actually think your take on Marvel Rivals and Overwatch 2 is really interesting. I have played a little bit of Rivals and thought that it was fun, but not something I would grind competitive for. This may be confusing, but I feel like Rivals is more of a game for Marvel fans that just want to play as their favorite hero or villain instead of a game that wants to have a large competitive scene. I do agree that Overwatch 2 is way ahead of Rivals when comparing mechanics and balancing. Everyone in Rivals just feels OP. Still a fun game though. I like your side note!
