@poutinedream50662 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, thanks to psychos like this, many of us already don't trust them. In my city, to be 911 operator, you go through 5 different tests, including a personality test and a psychological test. People are weeded out of the running at every step. That process doesn't exist though if you want to be considered for police or fire. You just have to be a son, a nephew, a daughter-in-law of someone already there. The same handful of last names, you see over and over. One family has so many hired on as cops, they jokingly refer to it as "the family business." As long as we continue to hire people into positions of public trust based on nepotism, and not merit or qualifications (being a cop on my city is also known as 'the best job you can get with a GED'), this will always be a problem.
@bepowerification2 жыл бұрын

His son died of an accidental OD at age 23. He started heaving mental health issues around the time of his dad’s trial (shocking). One of his sisters is also an addict but I believe she’s in recovery now. His ex-wife has spoken out about addiction and what it’s done to her family. This horrible human that promised to serve and protect has damaged so many lives, some to the point of no return. I hope it eats him alive every day of his life. I’m sure he couldn’t care less about the women he violated but he lost his own son over this. A letter was read at his son’s memorial and he thanked Keegan for writing to him in prison. The article his ex-wife did about the death of Keegan is easy to find if anyone is interested. It’s all so sad. I’m a recovering addict, too, and I know how hard the fight is. I can’t imagine how hard it would be trying to stay clean while also knowing your dad is a serial predator. I bet Keegan was scared that the evil part of his dad would pass on to him. I’ve heard that’s a very real thing that a lot of sons and daughters of killers experience. They worry that it’s like a gene that could be passed on to them. RIP Keegan Pelo. You were not your father, you were better than him.
@ashleychildresss4 ай бұрын
Yeah not to make light of the situation whatsoever but a good depiction of this is in the show riverdale Betty’s dad ends up being the black hood (a serial killer) and she’s scared she has a darkness inside of heR. I think she ends up testing positive for the serial killer gene and her niece or nephew also has the gene and ends up killing their dog or something…. It’s been awhile so my details may be off but you get the gist. The gene associated with serial killers is the MAO-A gene. Also known as “the serial killer gene” or “the warrior gene”. If anyone is curious and wants to research that a bit further. Of course I don’t think everyone with this gene is a predator or that all predators have this gene but it’s certainly interesting. And yes I am a 33 year old mother who watched riverdale lolol

It's really a question of context: when and how does the subject show anger, and in relation to what? A police interview is a frustrating and stressful experience for any subject. Questions are asked and reasked, the interview often seems to be coming back to the same ground over and over, and nothing the subject says is going to be taken entirely at face value. Even the most innocent subject may wear down and have a sense of humor failure eventually. Eventually. But liars are much quicker to go to defensive anger because, well, they don't have much else to work with and in any case their position is inherently insecure.
