I saw this case on the first 48. He was convicted, sentenced to life. His cell phone even put him in the area of the crime scene the night she was missing. He said some one broke into his car and stole his service weapon. He still maintains he is innocent. Such a sad story, prayers go out to the family.

Yeah they found his gun not far from where they found her body…for a cop He was pretty sloppy. Thankfully that’s what got him caught and his girlfriend who refused to lie for him.

I'm was just casually listening to the story and clicked back over to the tab when you showed her headstone. The poor child was born in 2006, the summer before I started high school. I know time flies but I can vividly remember what I was up to around the time she was just born which really hit home for me. Then to think that someone murdered her to fulfill whatever sick desires they may have is just gut-wrenching. RIP Susana.

Investigation needs to start, especially with these missing women, with police where about, during the incident took place. I thought all police departments in every city in every state immediately act on a missing child report. How could they have told this little girls mom that she couldn't report her missing for 48 hours. More than one crime was committed in this case. I reported my daughter missing when she was 3 hours late coming home from school and the police came out immediately. My daughter was 16 and this was in 1994.
