honestly, given how bonney wasn't born yet 14 years ago, I see two ways that the story can go. the nice way of having bonney be a clone. or the dark route of ginny having her memories removed and forcibly de-aged, and somehow held hostage to force kuma to comply

Not done with Vol 1 of Booms but I have noticed a few typo's. Correct me if I am wrong and was intentional but Around page 124-126 I noticed instances of word breakage between lines/pages As an example r ight or "however " Also if I am being honest I am not sure who the MC is... is it Bublegum... is it Aqua... is it roach... is it Buzard...? Yeah no clue who I am meant to think of as MC. So far Buzzard is my favorite just so Ussop ("cowardly" and kind); least liked Bubblegum... seems useless so far and only good for complicating situations with her brainless recklessness. Roach is the one I feel for least because I am stuck on him being an antagonist but framed as a protagonist despite that clearly not being the case (ramming the ship and risking everyone's lives) I list him as antihero rival atbest. Mostly the names being fluid will take me a bit to get over. Like with Goblin Slayer its to far outside of norm for me to be just happy about it quickly... Once I am used to it I will be able to appreciate it. Now with the mini review done I do have a question for you... which character of the cast did you think of first? I think it might have been Bublegum but not sure why.

But they have explained the Tyrant thing already... Its easy to confuse it as a word synominous with evil leader. But Kuma only does as Kuma wants already; he becomes king and does everything for his people without asking first or listening to them first and he would still be a tyrant; just one that trys to do good by his people even if they do not want it. What if Ginny lives but lost her memories mirroring Sabo's issue but this time she used her DF to change her own timeline and became Bonny. Like a jewel she seems different when seen from different angles ie different personas. soft counter to Puddings DF because each facet has its own memories and so she would redirect the Memory power to one they did not need to see. so she really has no recollection because the memories are found in the persona of another person,

I never saw “nothing happened” as Zoro gaining appreciation for Luffy, he always had that. It was more so a test of whether he truly cared enough to do it. It’s easy for him to sacrifice his life because that can be quick, but to take on that torturous pain and suffer it’s ramifications shows the dedication/care for the crew and Luffy. In that sense, Zoro and Kuma are a lot alike.

I feel that's the point he decided the strawhats have to survive because sanji was willing to do the same thing so seeing two separate people willing to suffer for the sake of others really struck a chord with him and he even said something along the lines of "he has some amazing nakama I would expect no less from your son, dragon .

Sacrificing his life is one thing. But what stuck out to me the most was him letting fall his blades. He didn't just give up his life, but also his ambitions, his literal purpose of life, his promise to become the worlds strongest swordsman, to reach kuina, and to be a suitable swordsman for the future pirate king. "Nothing happened" made zoro realise he had another goal, one even more important than his original ones (note: mihawk noticed it as well afterwards) which is like you said his crew. "He fights to protect where he lives" (Hajime no Ippo quote) matches this behaviour as well. damn just realised while writing this comment. thanks man

Bonney being a clone is more and more likely as the timespan of 14 years ago wouldn't add up. Kuma could have agreed to become a cyborg and serve the WG in exchange for Bonney's safety and it could also be a much deeper plot between Vegapunk Kuma and Dragon to find a blindspot that could take down the WG and the Gorosei not knowing the full details about Kuma's cyborg state. After Bonnie (Ginny) walked into the Kuma bubble in Punk Records, Luffy said that her personality changed. I think Ginny regained her memories after stepping in the Kuma bubble. Bonnie is Ginny.

Kizaru is currently 58 and Dragon is 55.If Dragon was indeed a Marine as everyone thought , then he definitely knew Kizaru very well.Kizaru likely knows Koala since it was thanks to his interference in the Koala incident that the charges pressed at the Sun Pirates were removed.What's more Jinbei never exchanged fists with Kizaru in Marineford despite both being at opposite sides.Probably because both of them respect each other that much. Now in Egghead Jinbei also doesn't engage in the fight.Kizaru also says he knows Bonney very well in the current arc and that he doesn't want to hurt the people he loves.Vegapunk knows her too.Kizaru was also part of a special Marine task force with Kuma and Sentomaru that was sent to destroy the Straw Hats in Sabaody.Kizaru had too many chances to just end Luffy's life both in Sabaody and in Marineford but never went for the kill (probably because knowing Luffy's family he understood he's a nice guy and all but yeah Ace should die so he would just repel Luffy every time he got close to the scaffold).Furthermore , in Sabaody after he , Kuma , Sentomaru and Rayleigh gathered around Luffy , Kizaru didn't care about Luffy , Kizaru questioned Kuma's actions and since he was a pirate annihilating crews day after day according to orders by the World Government Kizaru questioned his disobedience and defiance of his purpose.Everyone keep saying Kizaru is a villain , Oda keeps on bringing more and more examples of people being close to him and liking him very much.Saturn clearly wants Kizaru away from all of those ties to ensure he'll have a manageable weapon in the Final War , like Kuma.But yeah , if you're a Marine the fandom will hate you because Ace died...

It was another great chapter, but one of those calm before the storm chapters. Kuma deserves better, he deserved to be happy with Ginny, which makes it all the more painful knowing that there's a 99% chance that Kuma's not getting a happy ending. Interestingly, even though Dragon was in this chapter, Kuma resembled Luffy a lot of times to me, it could be the innocence. But I am growing even more on board that Bonney is Ginny's clone, Kuma's hesitation to even marry Ginny out of fear for his blood supports this idea. I am curious if there was someone who kidnapped or betrayed Ginny, and if Ivankov got imprisoned trying to rescue Ginny before Kuma makes a deal (yes the Goa Kingdom fire was later on but it can take multiple attempts and a long time). My worry however is that Kuma was never actually king of Sorbet, and that his moniker of 'The Tyrant' was actually the actions of the king in the flashbacks. But the situation of the Sorbet Kingdom is very close to the vein, especially the comment of people growing accustomed to the inhumanity - Tequila Wolf anyone? I'm curious why this happened though, the timeline says 'something happened' but the time period is Roger's execution (initially I thought we were gonna get back to the culling of the newborns bit of the WG's history). Also interesting how the cover page directly coincided with the chapter's events, don't think that's really happened before (since Pudding's capture was a bit of time before her appearance in the same chapter when Law faced Blackbeard) but it was funny, a bear catching salmon. It's also the first time since June-July that we've had 3 chapters on the trot, Oda's not wasting time with this one...

I’m still hung up on old Bonney looking like Dowager Queen of the Sorbet Kingdom enough that she fooled the Celestial Dragons, Marines, and the royals. I know she has some powers to change future appearances but she can only manipulate time with what’s there. I don’t think she can make herself a mermaid for example because she doesn’t have that blood. So to me there has to be a connection there. Maybe Ginny was related to the old royal family before the new guy and her family was put back in charge after her death? That’s the only thing that makes sense.

When it comes to Thriller Bark and the pain bubble, he must not had intended to pass off Luffys pain onto one of his crewmembers, and we now know the pain needs to go somewhere or it goes back. So Kuma showed up with the intention of taking on Luffys pain, and the situation evolved with the intervention of the crew.

So this chapter proved that there’s no way that Bonney can be Kumas biological daughter because the timelines don’t match up with her perceived age which is close to Luffys. She had to have either been a clone, adopted or Bonney has a White Beard situation where she admires him so much that she proclaims she’s his daughter. In the next chapter I believe a God’s Knight will appear to have been the one to kidnap Ginny and they demand Kuma turns himself in, however he bargains to be their slave again. However to get the paw fruit back they want him dead. Vegapunk will be present during this and, to help Kuma and support the RA, he pitched the idea of turning him into a cyborg to the Gorosei in the guise of providing a new weapon to the World Government. Giving them the paw fruit and Kuma under their control as well defacing Kuma giving him his nickname “Tyrant Kuma”.

The next panel was a different location, else it wouldn’t have said “in a certain kingdom”. And in this chapter he hasn’t even met Vegapunk yet so there’d be no way the pacifista tech would even be developed yet.

Remember at that point the gov’t didn’t have a reason to keep Kuma alive as he was, with what he knew of the God Valley incident and having possession of the paw fruit. There had to have been some way or reason the government would rather tarnished his image to paint him a tyrant than just outright kill him. Maybe she heard stories from the elderly people or she met him on one of his exploits with Dragon and the RA.

tbh, i think Dragon being a Marine is a hint to Dragon having a Logia, Maybe something like the Storm-Storm fruit, He is know for bringing a storm everywhere he goes. I think its a logia by what happened in loguetown, we see the storm/wind going through the town and it stops when Dragon appears out of nowhere even taking smoker by surprise.

I never expected to be so fast after a video upload. I was looking forward to your review JB. And man yeah Kuma`s story hit me hard, such a sweet guy. And him carrying a Bible all the time in the past makes so much sense now! I am wondering about Bonnie now too, is she his daughter or as you suggested the child of Ginny and a celestial dragon who forced himself unto her. OP can definitely go there, Oda has already shown the Celestial Dragons kill children and babies so... (there is in my opinion this weird idea in the West that at least in fiction murder is somehow less worse than forcing yourself on someone, given the reactions when the latter is shown to happen to a character).

I have a theory and I hope many of you guys agree with me. From the new chapter of One Piece 1097. What if Ginny is Bonney. For those who read it Ginny was captured. What if during her capture is when she ate the Toshi Toshi no Mi and something happened that altered her memory to forget that she was Ginny. I’m starting to believe that Bonney is Ginny and when she peaked at Kuma’s past, she saw who she really was before she was Bonney. Also since her devil fruit allows her to alter her age and size what if she restarted life all over again because of the fruit and memory lost and Kuma raised her as Bonney instead of Ginny.

Ginny is Not Bonney's mother, nor is Bonney her clone. Ginny may very well be a victim of something darker. What if something traumatic happens to Ginny? Not death but something that would scar her to the point Kuma had to repell her memories out of her to save her? On top of that she is fed the Age Age fruit, which makes Ginny a child again. Kuma raises her as a daughter and gives her the identity of Bonney. Those memories then secured in a special room designed by Vegapunk to keep Ginny's memories from returning to her. Bonney now having seen those memories now remembers everything. Does that make her Ginny again? No, because she's probably live as much as 14 years as Bonney so she would have memories of two separate lives. She still would see herself as Bonney even though she discovered who she once was.

ok, ever since ginney showed up I had this theory but now it makes a lot more sense and I haven't seen anyone mention this possibility. I think Bonney is not Kuma's child or Ginney's clone or anything like that, I think she is Ginney herself. What if a side effect of the toshi toshi no mi that she ate is that the user reverts back to the age of a baby or toddler and lose their memories when they eat the fruit, or what if she is mortally wounded in the next few chapters and the only solution is to use the toshi toshi no mi to restore her body to a healthier point and she overdoes it. After that Kuma raises her up as his daughter. I don't make one piece theory content so feel free to steal the idea if anyone wants to expand on it.

Bonney is a clone of ginny. Ginny is the Ace of her time. They go to rescue her but they failed and Kuma was able to clone her. Bonneys past memories are Ginnys which is why she cried. I think lol

we need an explanation of how Bonney can double life as the Conney the elderly queen dowager of Sorbet with recognition and honors granted by WG to attend and sit in on Reverie. It seems this cannot be possible unless, given she has the age fruit, she is in truth and actuality as old as Ginny would be by the present time in the story if we have confirmation Ginny may be alive also. Who Connie, as queen dowager meaning widow of a king, was a widow to cannot be Kuma as Kuma is alive with recognition as a former King (yes, he is still alive as established by the Marines maintaining such in their meetings) so that confuses things greatly as to what is going on here. Like Toki, Bonney-Conney-Ginny is a character type who is outside the rationale of chronology. Edit: Is Conney also Ginny?

There's something interesting I noticed from this chapter. Kuma states that he has to take in all of the pain and fatigue inside the bubble or else it'll eventually return to the person he extracted it from. That balances out his fruit as to not be an overpowered healer, but what does thateant for his extracted memories inside egghead? How long have they been sitting there and why haven't they returned to him? The way he phrased it it's implied that the bubbles return after a short while (probably definitely less than the 2 years he spent guarding the Sunny). This could be an oversight on Oda's part but if not then I wonder what the implications are. And those silhouettes could actually be the God Knights as we still don't know when the Revolution army faced off against them and considering their recent reveal in the story Oda could expand on that. Also, I'm throwing in my hat as to Dragon possessing the mythical zoan fruit of Kulkulkan

I think egghead wilk indeed end in a Kuma/Vegapunk death, Franky inheriting their wills and ultimatley Bonney joining the crew. I also think a combination of Saturn, Kuma and the giant will re-awaken Nika mode Luffy to the point the Nika spirit takes over for that fight.

Have you thought about the fact that Saturn's power is that he can distribute pain inflicted on him to other people? When Bonny attacks him with a knife, he allows this to happen because he needs the hurt to deal out hurt. That would explain why he allowed his own injury in the first place. It also fits in with many demons and with Kuma's taking pain story. Someone who takes pain and inflicts it on himself. Someone who gets pain and gives it to others.

I can view Kuma going berserk in this and Dragon stopping him. I think thats why we he went on doing the things he did without his wellbeing in mind, to atone for his sins. I know he always put others before his life. But I think that tragic event is what leads to him willing to loose his humanity, to be a slave to the ones who took everything from him. All that for a future he won't be able to see, trusting his daughter and the men he respects to do it

During the flashback Saturn said that "Buccaneers need to be erased". On Egghead he said "Bonny is just a girl, let her go". He wouldn't let someone with a Buccaneer blood go. Cloning would be kinda low for Kuma, so my bet is on the other one. Or may be he Paw Pawed her soul when she was about to die and gave it to Vegapunk so he could ressurect her, but he ended up only making a clone?
