They lost the Gold Master of Bloodborne. Probably while they were closing down Japan Studio. That's the only real explanation why no other release of the game has ever come out.

If Sony starts putting conditions on FromSoftware that will contribute to the deterioration of the quality of their games then I assume Miyazaki and his team will leave and create their own studio. I remember Miyazaki once mentioned that if someone is fired then he himself will leave along with all his employees. I don't know if I am quoting his statement correctly. He is quite a unique developer who cares about his employees. Kojima has his own studio so Miyazaki could have one too.

If Sony acquires Kadokawa, Crunchyroll is going to be near impossible to avoid. Like yeah, when I initially saw the news, I thought of FromSoftware. But after watching a video by Otaku Spirit and seeing what IPs run through Kadokawa, I started realizing the implications of this buyout

Sony also released Concord, which was an expensive bust, and not to mention they cancelled a Prototype sequel just so this bust could actually take place. Considering the sheer number of IPs Sony owns, I think panik is the only justifiable reaction as Sony being Sony will simply acquire Elden Ring and all other IPs and sit on it like a giant toad until the heat death of the universe.
