Coleman is probably one of the best male sprinters to never win an Olympic medal. It will be interesting to see how his form holds up from next year and beyond, however. Because he's not injured and seems to be running quick times but hasn't been able to nail peaking correctly when it matters, I think he still has time to get an Olympic medal. Not impossible, but it will be harder, especially given his racing history. He's changed coaches recently so hopefully, he can maintain himself to more medals and even more importantly, Olympic medals.

She is the fastest woman of all-time. We all know that Flo Jo record is wind aided. The long jump that was going on at the same time as her run had winds near +5. Winds recorded all day were high and all of a sudden there was no reading for that race. It isn't Flo Jo's fault but that record shouldn't exist. Elain has the fastest 100 ever.

He is 28 now. His body is changing. So even with weight training and reflexes, he beeds a coach who can help transition him out of this in a better way. Diet, training regimen, the focus of his lifting, maybe even stride work need to change and/or evolve. It is very possible. We saw it with Justin Gatlin.

Coleman had some focus/coaching issues and made some changes this season. Too much going on in the background. Chris, Kenny, and Ky King all train together. I'm hoping they will work on their baton passing and stay in contact with the USATF through film to make sure those 3 are on the squad for World Relays, with USATF swapping in any anchor to finish their races. Those 3 guys as a core unit need to work together and put the time in working in the box. Just the 3 of them. Their experience in Paris is the ideal fuel for them to get it right.

I can't see him missing out on a relay team in 2028. However there is a lot of talent brewing out there. Hoping for the best - Christian is a good one that DESERVES a spot on the Olympic podium. To me, it'll be the highlight of the games if he comes through in LA.

why do runners drag their toe when they leave the starting blocks? i notice it quite often. even the clip of coleman shows him dragging his toe. seems like that would slow one down.
@greywithana
@greywithana 2 сағат бұрын
It reduces the amount of time their feet are off the ground. If their feet are in the air, they aren’t accelerating. The drag tradeoff turns out to be worth it for the start in the first few steps.

If coleman fixes his closing 40 and keeps his form he’s going to be a serious threat next year, just haven’t seen that since 2019. As long as he stays healthy I think he can do decent in next Olympic Games but it could change. Hope for the best of him.

Colman's best times came before the suspension? How many times has Simbine been fourth??!!! Many "ifs"! If Thompson just fell over the goal line? If only Letsile got a flying start in the 100m? Unless Marcel 9.85 has been injured for so long? If only Lyles hadn't been favored in the lottery? If Tebogo didn't stop in the last 30m?

tbh i cant see Coleman still running never mind running fast enuff to qualify in 4 yrs time, he gasses himself in the first half of a race and gets ragged at the end to the point where it looks like he is falling forward and only the sprinting is keeping him upright and its even more noticeable in the 200m, unless something drastically changes and he manages to improve his stamina i cant see him lasting more than another season or 2 at most
