Here in Southern Illinois, we just went through an ice storm. We didn't have power for 2 days, we just got it back this morning. There are downed trees, still iced, everywhere. They fell all around my house and on my shed, but luckily not ON my house. My car is surrounded by branches and touching it, but they didn't go through my windshield, thank the Lord. It's supposed to be like 9 degrees tonight and 6 degrees tomorrow night. My job is closed until Thursday and my paycheck will suck but at least we had a small generator and a little heater and we didn't didn't freeze to death. So we are indeed grateful and thankful. ❤️

In my Mama's cast iron collection is a 16" skillet with a lid. She used this to fry chicken and make gravy with the drippings. I remember that she could lift the lid, but when it was time to scrape out the gravy, she always called Daddy to lift that heavy skillet. It sure fried some good chicken!

Actually, my geese were raised from little hatchlings and they’re fairy friendly they don’t bite or snap or chases but they do get upset when new people come up, they make a lot of racket.

I swear she could hear a flee fart.
