Yep. We had a crazy bull calf- did the exact same thing.. he’s escaped twice when we tried to move him from paddock to paddock- right through the barred wire fence.... chased him all over the yard and through the woods... needless to say.. he’s a goner. We took him to sale yesterday. Since we have to do rotational grazing, he’s not for us. Our others come to feed, move as we needed to.. except him.. so no more crazy bull calf for us and we were very glad of that too!! Glad it worked out for y’all

I totally get it...we had horses for years, & never had any trouble.....ever, but I had a little incident riding one day & had my daughter with me....luckily no one got hurt, but it scared me bc it could have easily ended up being really bad, & I immediately sold them all & have not looked back. You realize quickly how powerless you are, & just typing this & thinking about made my anxiety level go up!

My husband, a long time cowboy had a cow like that once. It was so wild that even after they got it trailered it managed to jump through that tiny 2 foot space above the gate in the trailer and escape. They had to go back out and rope it again. Cows like that are best in the freezer where they cant escape into anything but your belly.

Been in your shoes a few times! Had a crazy 1200 lbs cow, that knocked my Mother down loading her. I took her to the sale barn about 5 miles from the sale barn I had a blow out on the trailer, no spare. My parents brought a tire and tools for me. Our crazy cow was so excited she was slinging her poop and pee filed tail around and wasn't sure if we could change the tire with her jumping around. When I go her to the sale barn I felt just like you, very relieved! Have a good day!
