Loved Orange Julius ...it's part of Dairy Queen now and it is definitely not the same.

@@Wendy-uj2mi nope! Definitely not the same. When Dairy Queen bought them out, they cut the menu down to nothing . I to love Orange Julius, I’m so glad I found the original seating right inside that mall!

Hey Jim kinda new to the channel. My wife grew up in New Castle and remembered a lot about that mall. Trying to convince her to try the pizza. You would think they would both be super polite to any warm body that finds there way to their shop. Fun video I'm going to definitely check that place out. Also want to say that I like watching a channel like this that explores places local to me.

@@tommyv8777 first of all thanks for watching and thanks for the vibes!! I honestly think that mall is so great because it holds on to personal memories of the fountains and Orange Julius, what a treasure. Too bad it’s not more than what it is. Get the pizza!! lol.

This is also the location of our Farmer's Market in the summer and fall, every Saturday morning.I didn't move here until 2003, from Wisconsin, so I'm not much help on confirming the grocery store, although it feels like a Piggly Wiggly, but yes that was a Munro Mufflers location until just a few years ago.

@@monaaustin7820 thanks for watching and commenting! It’s a great thing that they at least utilize the mall for such things. Too many malls just disappear and go vacant. Thanks for the info!

I agree with you, they have been very creative in keeping it alive, even if a big segment had to be utilized in a different way.The back parking lot is used for monthly food distributions as well. I love this little town and this community, they're stubborn, but in a good way, refusing to let this town die. Currently there are two different big apartment projects going on downtown, one is a reno, one is new build. Having more people downtown should help. I know people who have grown up here, if you're ever looking to learn more, I can probably hook you up with them.

@@monaaustin7820 I appreciate that!! Yes! It’s awesome to see towns that are still “staying strong” even when the economy and jobs leave! Pretty special
