I just got back from Ireland about two weeks ago and was able to pick up a Red Spot at a solid price, along with another Blue Spot for a backup. A major score in my book. I opened my Red Spot last evening and it is so good. I plan on blinding it with Redbreast 15 (one of my favorites) soon.

All the Spots are super expensive right now. Even more than other Irish whiskeys. So it's not just tariffs.

I have the Green Spot, Blue Spot Cask Strength, and the Yellow spot (and they are all tasty!) .....still cant justify the price on the Red Spot yet.....

Oooooo I did finally crack all my spots. The order from favorite to least was gold, blue, yellow, red, green (I think. There’s a video😂). That is $205 in Ohio. I bought the one form the charity and a back up for some reason before I tried it lol. I’d buy a yellow ($130) or blue ($150) before I get another Red.

This has been sitting on the shelf at my local liquor Total Wine for just over $300 for a few months now. Nobody is will to pay that much for it. When I bought this bottle ( at a different liquor store that is notorious for making things up) I thought I way overpaid for it 2 years ago. This just shows you how much Irish whiskey prices have gone up. The same goes for Redbreast 27 a bottle that was $500 2 years ago is now over $1000. Crazy!

Was actually just talking about this with Jay West from Shared Pour and he said the importers have all raised prices massively on the Spot series as well as some Japanese whisky (and I'm sure it's not isolated to just those). He said wholesale cost from importers has almost doubled, so the big retail jump here makes sense. Definitely not a buyer at these prices though.

Hi guys , Englishman in Mexico, Red spot is a great pour for bourbon and scotch drinkers, bridges the gap so both can really enjoy. I got this a while back on a visit back , it was €£90 , I just looked now as I am going back in 2 weeks , the best price I found was £105, most were £115 . It’s a top pour no doubt. I am stocking up for return to Mexico , I have 8 bottles already in house, buffal trace £19 all Inc tax n delivery. Eagle rare £29 , so easy n cheap. Cask strength bunhabbain £78 . If I lived in the states you would get some serios samples from Scotland !! Keep up the good stuff, international whisky , pleated is great ! Also agree , SLB collab would be amazing, double blinds at a good venue, I think you guys would get on great too , cheers.

I loved Red Spot in Irish pubs-easy to find for < 20€ a pour-but to bring home I snagged a bottle of Blue Spot for 100€, which I can’t find near me and is $$$$ online. I enjoy it, but also found that Redbreast Cask Strength holds its own against it and seems to be much cheaper in the states these days.

Nice review! I always like the unbiased view and reviews. Whiskey is a Journey is a great channel! I’ve had the opportunity to try, green spot, 2 green spot finished, and I own a yellow, blue, red, and gold spot. IMO they are all nice pours but my favorite is the yellow. I bought these about eight months ago and got some really good deals. Red 115.00 BevMo And these from a store owner friend. Yellow 90.00 Gold 92.00 Blue 140.00 Cheers!

I’d have to really be in the mood for this to spend 130 on a bottle. I’m more of a 75-80 on these but that will never happen. Red breast is my go to for Irish whiskey and I don’t spend over 130 ever.

Love your price sensitivity! The spot series is excellent and some are priced below $100. Try the Gold Spot or Green Spot finished in red wine casks.

But US prices for the three finished Green Spots are all at US$125. The only one of any of them below that mark is the plain Green Spot. And it's double the price paid outside the US.

I like the Spots, but as others here have noted, Red Spot has been marked up lately. If it could be found for around $130, it would be worth it.
