It kills me that you came all the way to CA and were only about an hour away from the thrift shop in San Jose where the manager looks just like you. Like, y’all could be sisters or identical cousins.

Bill Blass was an American designer popular in the 70s and 80s and I think Blassport was one of his mid-range lines. Fun fact: he was one of the forerunners of brand licensing!

Estate sales are my favorite maybe because I love having a look into someone else’s home, in the least creepy way possible (??) I do get that bittersweet feeling tho 🥺 I’m happy to see at the end of the video that you got that mirror 👌 also can’t believe the deal you got on everything !!! One time I also came across a random estate sale in a town I don’t live in (much like this video). The owner apparently had owned an antique store for 40 years, so you can imagine the gold mine and amount of stuff. I went to the checkout with an armful of things, but the lady in front of me had soooo much stuff and was taking a long time so the woman at the checkout gave me everything for $6 (when literally just two of my things alone were marked $10). It was amazing and I def regretted not getting more.

oh my GOSH! you scored some TREASURE!!!! Now I'm jonesing to hit another estate sale ASAP. I totally get the interest in peeking into someone's life - even from like, an anthropologic standpoint.. humans are so interesting!

I worked for a company that consulted large family businesses and one of the families was the Ferragamo family, so I have a giant box of Ferragamo ties, because the consultants were always gifted things from the family and gave the smaller stuff to us lowly office workers.

Love the subtle “Little Nemo” reference! My grandparents had it on vhs and we, grandkids, probably _wore that tape out!_ Although, i do believe it was _Slumberland._ I mainly know that because _Nightmareland_ scared the beejeezus outta me, _and_ my siblings, _and_ my cousins! Ohh, how i *SO* wanted to ride that *_awesome_* train ‘The King’ (💭Morpheus?💭) had all throughout the palace! Someone needs to make one of those Museum Experiences based solely on that movie-or just of Slumberland! Ohh, and 💭”Bon-Bon”💭 was just *_so cute!_* Dang, talk about *nostalgic!* All these little childhood-memory-tidbits _about_ a *”B-rated” movie* have flooded *my* own palace-you know, my *Memory Palace* 😉🥰🤓 #pajamapajamapajamapajamapajama 🌛👑🌝✨⛲️🌠🗝️🌌🛏️🪽🌚🔱🌜

I don't think we have these estate sales in the uk, I've never heard of them here anyway. It's strange and a bit sad seeing all the persons stuff everywhere, free for people to rummage in. I wonder if the ghost of the person is wandering around, curious about the humans looking at their belongings. I expect they're glad when various things go to people who will appreciate them ie an old paint set going to a young artist just starting out. Edit: Having watched more of the video, I'd now love to see a Babooshka Chic thrifting and styling video from you!
