Tonight we investigate a care home that is said to be haunted... This place has been closed since 2018 yet in 2023 the power and heating system is STILL ON! There is also over 30 hospital beds sitting inside this building whilst the NHS struggle on a daily basis, We think it's shocking... What about you?

Mark watering the plants melted my heart ❤️ It bothers me when I think about any living thing being thirsty and there's nothing it can do to get a drink. What's baffling to me is why is no one squatting there? Shadow Seekers Mark has found people sleeping in absolutely disgusting places. This place has all the basic necessities, it's clean-ish..I mean someone could have lived there for 4 years..free? So weird. Thanks guys 👍

It makes me so sad to know that this place is heated and has power and running water, but so many are struggling to heat their own homes, not to mention the homeless situation in this country... someone owns this building and has the funds to keep this all on... thank you for an unsensationalised, thoughtful investigation! Interesting investigation, thankyou. Those knocks were really odd; there was something about them that just felt at odds with the other sounds in the place - that were clearly to do with the lights/heating etc. I agree with Paul about this building lying idle with everything in place and using electricity; at a time when all resources are under huge pressure it's not only puzzling, it's a little outrageous.

Set the reminder for Sunday. Looks well creepy. If the heating and lighting are still on, I'd be worried there were squatters in the building. It's a bloody disgrace that a perfectly useable building (with some work done on it) could be used by the NHS for extra beds. We really do waste money in this country sometimes.

I would have taken the plants, tbh. They didn’t ask to stay and not be taken well care of. Someone must have been watering them to be still in that condition after 4 years though

I was in the chemist the other day when an old man came in buying wheat bags to keep warm at home. It was heartbreaking and yet this place is warm, cozy and empty. I think we will loose more elderly this year than in past years and the same with the homeless the weather has been so cold it’s criminal that place being left like that.

Enjoyed this guys, made me giggle at your own jump scares lol, it is so sad that all that equipment is left there, the problem is, they cant be used at the moment at other hospitals because the problem with the nhs is they are very short on staff, hence hospital closures and not enough beds for patients in hospitals that are open as they are full and again staff shortages, covid and there pay has led to this :(

Great investigation. With all the services still on I would worry about squatters while at same time wondering why the homeless aren’t placed into these buildings? If the building is solid they can be given a room in exchange for some type of work, tidying up, or painting or repairing . It’s a great investigation, I jumped when you did, Paul. Lots of noises, like that scraping/dragging sound.

Oh my goodness guys. What a place! I’m so beside myself seeing all this brand new looking equipment, beds bathrooms heating etc. It’s looks very much like private hospital abandonment . As you said Paul it really is a disgrace that a lovely place like that isn’t being used, or at least the beds.Who’s to blame for this. Anyway getting down to the reason you are both there. It was a great night. I did laugh about the lift 😁 but those taps did sound odd. It was a spooky looking place. I kept wondering if an old person was going to be seen walking around with their frame...😬

I think that's the care home that's owned by a private company (they have others) There was a news item about the site in 2020 and their having to retrench and relocate staff and residents, so I think it was still operational whilst they did this. Prior to the pandemic in 2020, they were already struggling financially and weren't getting support from the Gov. I think it had a good rating with the CQC too. It's really is such a waste and I hope it doesn't get trashed :-(

The 'scraping' noise at 7.42 sounds very similar to a type of automatic air freshener that I've heard before?? They are mains operated and set to fire a burst of air freshener from time to time?? Maybe that? 👍
