I can’t even remember how many review videos I’ve watched on this Newmar and TFL is the only review that went into details of the whole reason people would buy this over a normal motorhome! The dang garage! I mean it’s important to note wether it has built in front wheel chock’s the strips of aircraft seat locks so you can use adjustable cargo spring loaded cleats. How steep the ramp is…. These are very important things to us old folk that want to drag our towes with us and sacrifice some room in our rolling homes! So thanks TFL

I know i was thinking the same thing last time i loaded my ultra limited it was muddy and wet and i was sideways the whole way up the ramp into the garage then of course it wasn't straight in line with the chock would like to see him just pick the back end of my bike up and slide it over lol

Nice use of the chassis, of course people will complain the garage is too big or too small. Would be a nice way to see many of the parks and have something else to run around in. Adrian is a nice sales person there. This is out of most viewers price but may not always be so if you like it remember it when you land that new job.

Toy hauler part is not unique but it’s the first front engine diesel I have seen. Unique for sure.

They are not unheard of, just not near as popular as the front engine gassers. Pretty sure almost all are the 6.7 Cummins.

@@jamesbeaman6337 there are several Cummins engines used. I have looked at a bunch of RVs. Thought about the Thor Outlaw as I have bikes and it would be easier than a separate trailer. Only downside is the garage takes away from living space. I assume this has front diesel because of the garage but like I said never seen a front engine diesel before. Wonder how noisy it is in real life

I have the 2016 model and I put a Honda Pioneer 700 4 seater in the garage. You just need to take the front brush guard off to make it fit.

Two BIG problems (as a current toy hauler owner)... *Garage door opens into the garage (when fully loaded, entry is ONLY from exterior). *Ramp has a wonky shape preventing use as a suspended deck. Newmar has ALWAYS done these things to their toy hauler...really sad when they are really not major design points. Plus...being over 26K GVWR and having airbrakes can put add'l driver's license class requirements on many state license requirements.

That makes that door unusable when the garage is loaded and requires exiting the RV to use the exterior side door to access via the rear ramp. Having one of these Class A Toy Haulers, we know that is a VERY big deal...really a deal-breaker.

Every model of Outlaw has the door open into the interior (swing or slide)...'cuz that just makes good sense.

There really isn't a whole lot of exterior storage. I'd like to see them build something like this on a raised rail chassis with some pass-thru storage. Also at that price, I would have liked to see a powered 50 amp cable reel. Still, I appreciate the concept, because I don't like the idea of powering a rig that size with a gasoline engine, the way that the rest of the manufacturers do.

A Smart fortwo is just under 9 feet long so yes. Also, the curb weight is just under 2000 lbs so that would take up over half of the payload rating of this coach.

Initially, I thought this would be a great combo but apparently this is a very tough concept to sell and this is why these front engine diesel are not a very stable niche product. Why is this so, the price. It is a good 50k more than a gasser and there are comprimises that make you wonder if this extra cost is worth it. These units because of diesel and the chassis is between 3 to 4 k heavier. This does mean that it rides better and the pickup diesel engine also get you better fuel mileage than a gasser. It is just slower plus it also means that the places that you might want to go boondocking with your toys might not be as accessable because of the weight and the lack of a locking rear end. Still lighter than a 32,000 lb diesel pusher (dp) but you can almost buy a used dp for the price your paying for a new one of these.
