It does... but you can only play 1 out of 3 structure decks vs another structure deck controller by the machine. it sucks

I assume they are working on it with the whole liberators story. We might get one next year when everything is unified. This is my own speculation, btw. Take it with a grain of salt.

I can't praise this sim enough. It's everything I could want in a sim, and my friends and I are all loving it. It's the perfect platform to try out cards you're not familiar with, as well as practice with the ones you do. I'm not exaggerating when I say it absolutely got all of my card game group back into Digimon hard in real life as well. From the new set, I'm picking up MaloMyotismon, one of my friends is trying out Silphymon, another is building TyrantKabuterimon, and the other is just upgrading his Leomon deck with the new MadLeomon. The game is astonishingly fun to jump back into after playing a lot of Yugioh lately. Awesome stuff!

Not to mention an online sim is literally the only way players in many places can play the game, because many local stores don't have it.

A sim will never replace the experience of owning physical cards and sitting down from someone to play a game. The social interaction is a key point. Having a sim like this where the cards are free and a (blank, impersonal) game is just a click away is just excellent for accessibility, practice, and keeping your skills up when you can't get out to play.

You know, your right about the wargreymons everywhere. I forget that not only it is a popular digimon, but probably because people are trying it out because they finally have all the cards (the amount of cards that are in different sets for that deck is pretty crazy and they don't want to buy all the different cards they can potentially use) even though it is not popular from the many matches I have played in BT14-16.

EXACTLY! The DCGO has been incredibly helpful with me learning my decks better and I've learned A LOT about how my cards resolve their effects against so many decks that I take to my locals. This is an invaluable tool for anyone who wants to learn how to play digimon!

DCGO is great for trying out all the decks I've never wanted to build, but wanted to figure more about how they work and what to look for. It also let's me build all the weird meme decks I've wanted to make, but never had the money or time to play Hopefully this release also pressures Bandai into putting a bit more importance on getting an official online simulator out. Money is just sitting on the table for them

Well, I'm a Digimon fan since I was a kid, and have been wanting to try this Card Game out since I first heard about it, about a year or so ago, but here in Brazil, not only is money a real issue, I'm from a pretty small town, just finding the cards is a hassle. I just found this video and just started downloading it, though I haven’t played Digimon tcg. TCG sims are a great way to experience your favorite tcg without any costs! Hopefully pokemon tcg also get a simulator so that people can play any deck they want without spending or grinding.

The fact you can just smack your head against the bot is supper helpful to help me relearn mechanics of the game and now learn new things for the colors I play. 100% recommend it for anybody new or that gave up on the game

This thing is basically YGO Omega but for Digimon. I dont play Digimon, but it looks very robust. IF ONLY Cardfight Vanguard had a simulator like this. The Premium formats would go so hard if you could play it online in an autosim. Zero just isnt cutting it, crafting cards in that game is too expensive.

I have been playing it for a couple weeks now, also given because it's impossible to play the game irl since no lgs runs digimon here, and the simulator does work flawlessly. I have been mostly building lots of decks with my favorites and playing against the bot. The only issues is that a few images are missing for promo cards and the new training cards and, the bot is kind of bad since it does hard play most of the time and that matchmaking doesn't work sometimes. But this are issues that will definitely get fixed sooner than later.

The tutorial app is still a better teaching tool. The sim doesn't really teach how to play, but if you use the app or use a guide like the ones in the starter decks then the sim speeds things up a lot

So, I think of course it's nice to have and all, but I do still think we're probably a year or two out from an actual official sim, mostly not because Bandai's bad or something, but just the practical/financial side. If it's undoubtedly free to play, it has to pay for itself somewhere, and of course that's in buying currency to buy cards and stuff, but that's where the fundamental issue lies when saying "Pokemon has one, Yugioh has one, Magic has one" Digimon as a TCG does not *yet* have nearly the card volume as the other three, which are sitting beyond the 12,000 - 20,000+ range, meaning there's a substantially larger bandwidth to work with as an option for currency use even in terms of dedicated players who would try and collect everything. Not counting alt arts, I haven't been keeping track but I imagine Digimon's only recently approached the ~2500-3000 zone. I have had kind of a gut feeling for a couple years that Bandai would want to build up a bit larger of a volume, dependent on how many cards in a pack would be unlockable at a time to sort out their baseline. So yeah, considering fans don't tend to ask for the kind of money that official company employees would be paid for development, resources, future stuff they already plan for and are aware of, maintenance and all that, it balances out for the time being.

BT16 is still missing so they're not caught up to either English or Japanese releases and they've mentioned that they're trying to release cards within a reasonable time of actual English release (nothing about Japan releases at the moment). I believe BT16 is in the works and getting tested soon.

Well, by April next year the game will be releasing sets simultaneously for the majority of players. BT16 is being tested and the plan was to get it out 2 weeks after paper release. So, that would put it a week and a half from now.

I’ve said it once I’ll say it again: digital versions of card games are the future. Any card game that takes itself serious needs to have an official version with a way to get to the world stage in it.

Master Duel was a revolution. Konami was sitting on their assess for at least a DECADE while YGOpro was the only way for us to enjoy Yu-Gi-Oh! from home. Now, Master Duel is actually somewhat F2P friendly. What about others? Bandai made DBZ and other games ultra P2W. What to expect?

does digimon tcg needs to be saved in the first place? unlike yugioh wich is losing people every day, digimon tcg is a new card game, that is growing at a steady pace. mostly yugioh players are dropping it, for digimon tcg. i am one of those yugioh players, that dropped yugioh for digimon. the game came out during corona, so that is partly responisble for the slower growth at the beginning.
