I unfortunately knew a guy who engaged in this "content" on Discord. It took the police months to formally charge him after searching his home, and two years for him to go to jail. He was a free man, unmonitored, unrestrained, for two years after they knew what he'd been doing. A friend even reported to the cops that he was still using social media and they did nothing about it. The justice system is not fast. I only take relief knowing he'll be behind bars for several years and on the registry for life after that.

@@321Jarn you're correct about it not being an excuse. however, schizophrenia is a form of mania in which you cant separate some parts of reality from whats in your head. what youre thinking of is what i have, paranoid schizophrenia. paranoid schizophrenia causes auditory or visual hallucinations that are caused by thinking people are out to get you. some schizophrenics have different levels of hallucinations and delusion, its not always a blanket hallucination either, it can also solely cloud memory. personally i have a less severe case, and i can still fully tell real from fake and my hallucinations are minor. no matter how severe though, it can only contribute to violence in the moment, not premeditated actions

I’m a child abuse survivor and it always horrifies me knowing other victims choose to go on to victimise others, like you know how hard it is living with that trauma every day (I have legit cPTSD & PTSD, today is my birthday, my birthday is a significant trigger date), they know how hard it is to reach out for help of any kind because you’re conditioned to believe you’re at fault and should feel shame, and they also know how incredibly hard it is to break that cycle… yet they choose to victimise innocent children. The main pred convinced younger people to help him victimise these young girls, they made a choice to go along with it (for discord Nitro no less) instead of talking to an adult they trust, or a teacher, or law enforcement, they instead choose to create and continue a cycle of abuse.

as someone who’s gone through this (being taken advantage of as a minor and constantly having such things used against me) it’s probably the worst thing i’ve ever gone through and i wouldn’t wish it upon anyone. i’ve been exploited at a young age during the pandemic as my mental health was at its lowest due to a rough childhood. i was seeking comfort online since it felt like the only place where i’d be accepted. all i wanted was a friend, someone to care, i just wanted to be seen. a guy who i considered a “friend” took advantage of me when i was 13 and then proceeded to use it against me for a year. i finally managed to escape after i finally built up the courage.it’s been 3 years since that event, and i’m still as traumatized and afraid as i was then. i don’t know if he ever went through with what he said he would with his threats and i dont even want to know. all the events lead to me committing acts of $h that i still struggle with to this day after 5 years. i’m doing better now, but my past still haunts me to this day, not a day goes by where i dont think about all the things and all the people that caused me harm. i wouldn’t wish this type of trauma or feeling upon anyone. so please if you’re someone who’s in a similar situation or considering seeking validation online, please be smarter and seek help on time. it will only cause you more harm and there’s other solutions for your problems.

hi hi someone who has personally gone through this here. please reach out it was happening to me as a 10-13 year old and it some of the worst times of my life. my parents found out and had me go to the police station, i was angry and upset at first but after awhile i realized everything came to a halt. PLEASE go and reach out. as soon as law enforcement gets involved then you’ll feel all the weight come off. please don’t be afraid of them judging you either, they hardly ask about about what you said just the other person/people :) you got this!!
