That said, nobody knows for SURE what's going to happen... but out of ALL the theories I've researched none have come close to fitting this perfectly! (At least from my perspective!) We might get a potion to bring EVE back, but probably unlikely. I feel like instead of a potion for EVE, we (the player) will have to craft a holo-detector with some Iron, Tinkering Parts, and an Emerald, place the crafted holo-detector in the Plaza, then put the Sprout Boot that WALL-E gave us in the holo-detector and a mysterious rocket lands in the Southwest corner of the Sunlit Plateau. EVE gets out of the rocket and she knows that she's home in the Valley.

In Mother Gothels' home, there's a cauldron, which postions are brewed from' that has a shelf full of potions above it. Also, on those shelves are unlit candles, aka 'something gone cold'

This is a REALLY good one! The gold potion also stated it would "bring warmth" This could still be tied to Rapunzel, too, considering it's in Mother Gothel's home! This is true! Plus, we already know (just like with Rapunzel) that Wreck It Ralph is already coded in the game! It's only a matter of time before he appears... that said... the Devs really love throwing curve balls! NOBODY was expecting Mirabel! I don't think we had ANY Mirabel furniture (at least not that I can think of?) and we still got her before many other characters with tons of furniture! Hard to say!

What if we were actually going to use the red potion to be able not to revive, but to recover something that our character lost? Something more symbolic than losing your life, something like a reunion. Also, if Rapz enters, Cas needs to be there too!

That's a really good point! I'm still definitely considering this for both potions. I immidiately thought about the "Forgotten" part of us when I first found the potions. I even went through and read all of the memories or "notes" we've found from them, just looking for a clue! I thought at first the potions would possibly all be used on one entitiy and allow the "Forgotten" avatar to reunite with us. It's impossible to know for sure what they're for but it's SO fun to think about and discuss. I really love what the devs are doing here!

I think red could be wreck it Ralph. The word gleam is so specific to rapunzel because it’s in her song but rage doesn’t really fit with Miguel. In wreck it Ralph the characters don’t respawn outside their game so that could be why he needs the potion to live in the valley

I've heard a lot of interesting theories! A few people think "Hades," and a few people think "Turning Red," and a few people suggested what you said. I'm just not going to assume "Raging" is a clue itself... I think the BIG clue is the potion description. The descriptions tell us what the potion is for! The potion itself is raging because of the ingredients. I don't think this has to imply the person drinking it is "raging" If that were the case, "Gleaming" wouldn't fit Rapunzel because she won't be "gleaming" without her blonde hair. The yellow potion is likely Rapunzel because of the "Power of the Sun" description. Gleaming wasn't the main clue here it was the "sun" reference that made it obvious. With all that considered, "lifeless" could possibly apply to wreck ralph as you said! It just feels like a real stretch to make it fit in my opinion, while it fits Miguel perfectly. Odds are better for Wreck it Ralph though because we already know he's in the game. Guess we'll see!

The Lore and storyline in this game is one of my favorite features! The devs have done a phenomenal job bringing all of these characters together! I love the mystery behind the potatoes and potions, and I also love the main quest/story! I can't wait to learn more about the forgetting and how it all started! The other franchises take place post film plots but tangled doesn’t seem that way, when we find Gothel she says she was trying to lock someone away and always refers to Rapunzel as her daughter still. Whenever you talk to her. “If you were tracking your wayward daughter through the forest how would you convince her to come home?” When you tell her getting old isn’t that bad “you’re almost as delusional as my daughter”. Also, when you watch the main game trailer and pause the part with the player helping wall-e you can see Rapunzel in the background shes to the right side, standing in front of a long mirror and she has her long hair.

If you look carefully both the Gleaming gold potion and the Raging red potion is marked with a purple star. This purple star indicates it’s a special item and is needed to restore the valley.

Yeah, the purple star is indicative that the item is tied to / connected to the main quest. I'm just not "entirely" convinced that it required yet! Future developements will likely change my mind but I want to see more before assuming it's necessary for major plot developement.

I thought Snow White for the red potion (red poison apple makes her die) but the word spice doesn't really fit with Snow White. I had no idea for the yellow potion but the sun theory makes perfect sense

Thanks, Emily! I can't take all the credit because I picked up the Rapunzel theory from Reddit and Mr. Carter got me interested in Miguel. That said, all the ideas about why Miguel would need his life restored is a personal theory of mine! The whole plot of CoCo just fits WAY too good with DDLV and the "Forgetting" Avoiding the possibility of forgetting was a major focus for the families who celebrated "The Day Of The Dead" I just think it fits so well. That said... I'm not 100% convinced on it being true... I think the gold potion is definitely for Rapunzel but not as confident on Miguel. The only part that throws me off is "Raging" Red Potion. I believe the item description is MORE important, but why choose that specific name. If it is Miguel... why not name it, "The Rockin' Red Potion"? Maybe they just didn't want to make it to obvious? Throw everyone off a bit? Haha I don't know but I NEED TO KNOW NOW! 😂

I think Raging Red potion alludes to a Turning Red appearance in the game. Red of course, is symbolic of Mei’s red color when turning into a red panda when feeling strong emotions like rage. Chili peppers are often used in Asian cuisine as well, spicing up something lifeless. Spicing up something lifeless? Mei’s mother. Mei’s mother is too preoccupied with Mei’s success to have a life of her own. Maybe, the developers are trying to relate this to the forgetting. If one focuses too much on reality and being successful in the adult world, they forget their childhood and where the came from. Thus, the potion will be used to remind Mei’s mother of the importance of nostalgia.

Yo! The Miguel theory is DARK! I would say maybe too dark but some of the pages of the Former Leader's Journal is really depressing. But someone mentioned a Wreck-It Ralph theory that feels like it fit better. (And it's not too dark)

Hmmm, I don"t know Babb... Wreck It Ralph fits way better for the "Electrifying Orange Potion" Think about it! In the Wreck It Ralph movie, the whole story revolves around "electricity" or "power" When an arcade machine is unplugged and has no power or "electicity," the game characters cease to exist. Also, all the game characters meet up after hours in a power strip! Ralphs overalls are also orange... sooo... why would the red potion be for Ralph when the orange potion fits him 1000x better? Now, it is possible that the red potion isn't for miguel. It could be for anybody... but the theory isn't dark. It's the plot of a literal childrens movie rooted in Mexican folklore 😅 Dead relatives being forgotten and having a "final death" is part of the plot of CoCo. A Disney Pixar film is rated suitable for little kids 🤷‍♂️ At the end of the day, nobody knows for sure who or what the potions will be for other than the dev team but I sure do love theorizing about them.

So weve got an orange and blue since this video was released. The orange potion mentions it having the power of electricity. Which character has the power of electricity and is mostly orange in colour? HERCULES! In a recent survey from the DDLV devs, a list of potential movies was fearured. Hercules was one of those listed. Blue potion time. "This potion shimmers with revitalising powers". The only character i can think of with such powers, that are blue is Kida from Atlantis (again listed in the survey). We've already seen a ton of atlantis references, our character writes in the same text as the atlanteans. I wouldn't be surprised if we are decendants of kida and milo in the story.

Reading the comments everyone seems to know a list of characters that are already confirmed to appear 'at some point', anyone got a full list of this because this is all news to me haha! Also, I would absolutely LOVE some Coco visuals - feel like it would challenge the Encanto update as far as show stopping furniture goes.

I think we have a lot of ideas of who's coming because we've seen a lot of them in the trailers and introductions! You've probably already seen the road map and are aware of Simba and Nalla. Aside from them coming next month, we've seen Ralph, Timone, Pumban, Rapunzel, Sully, and more I can't remember off the top. Also, certain franchise characters have a ton of furniture in the game (Beauty & The Beast, Monsters Inc, Wreck it Ralph, ect.), so we know we can expect them as well As far as a complete list goes, I don't think one exists! The devs are good at keeping things hush hush. I don't think any of us expected Mirabel last month! I'm sure a list of confirmed characters exists somewhere. If I find one, I'll link it for you. For now, we're mostly going off of the intros and trailers! (Also highly agree on a Coco collection! The visuals would be stunning, and the story works REALLY well with the forgetting!)

Just because new characters are tied to the potions doesn't mean they're next! That said, gameloft already released the road map. I totally get that, though! It's hard to decipher. My honest opinion is that the word "raging" actually doesn't have much to do with the attached character. The important clue is "lifeless" The reason the chose "raging" was simply because they needed a descriptive word that started with "R" (G)leaming (G)old (R)aging (R)ed It's a trend! All the potions will likely carry this trend!

I wasn't expecting Stitch in Toy Story until they hinted and I definitely wasn't expecting Mirabel so soon but I'm so glad they added her!

Enter the redemption code for the golden potato... it's GPOT-OATO-LDFS-ENNM. Include the dash and capitalize the letters. There's also a red potato you can find in Remy's house. There are a bunch of guides online to turn them into the potions!

Is she not the most recent version of cartoon Ariel? 🤔 It's been a long time since I watched anything from that story line! A few people on here talked about Hades! He's one of my favorite Disney characters and I would LOVE to see him in the game! It would surprise me if it were for him though. The only connection is "raging" The rest of the clues and the biggest one (the item description) don't seem to point to him at all. Hades is a God. He's never been "lifeless" the potion states it restores life. I just can't fathom it being for Hades! That said, I really wouldn't mind being wrong! Like I said, I would LOVE to get Hades in the game! Time will tell and we'll have to wait and see!

Per The Little Mermaid 2, Ariel has a 12 year old daughter. Scar and Ursala would be dead. Simba and Nala would also be grown ups with a child as well (The Lion King 2). Goofy does the fish dance from The Goofy Movie, but he doesn’t mention missing Max. Hades got thrown into the river Styx forever trapped. It could be a cool way to unlock his rage red mode.

I really hope you'll check out that link, too! I didn't even know this but apparently it wasn't even "Walt Disney Studios" who were in charge of "Little Mermaid 2" and "Lion Ling 2" that's why they weren't motion pictures. They were side projects made from Disney's TV entertainment branch and completely non-canon. So, the versions of Scar, Ariel, Eric, and Ursula are indeed the most recent canonical versions.

Rather than Miguel, Im thinking Hades. Lord of the Dead and able to turn red with rage when angered. Fire powers also referenced by spice. Hades has rage for weeks on end. He forever hates his brother for making him draw the short straw and become lord of the Underworld and plots his revenge by releasing the titans. He constantly turns red with anger, and his rage is a huge part of his character despite usually being the fast talking collected sleezy salesman type. Hades with no rage wouldnt BE Hades. And he'd be a fun optional character to have around if they decide to add Herculese and focus on Herc, Meg, Pegasus and Phil. Edit: The Gleaming Gold potion while requiring some thinking, is fairly easy to do. Raging red requires a red fishing spot in Glade of Trust as well as opened Sunlit Plateu AND Friendship level 10 with Remy. The kinda difficulty it would take TO SUMMON A GOD.

Im also thinking rather than helping us get Rapunzel though I do think it'll be her hair we get from it: The Gleaming Gold potion will be used to help Cassandra. Cass in the series SPOILERS goes villain with the stolen power of the moonstone. Gothel references both sun and moonstone in her questline, and the moonstone was not a thing until the series. Rapunzel's hair may help us get Cass's memories back due to the forgetting making her forget what she learned which made her turn good again. Again, an optional character to unlock with the new additions being Rapunzel, Eugene, Lance and everyone's fave Varian. PLUS! The answer to how to GET the potion is foumd in MERLIN'S HOME. MERLIN HAS AN OWL COMPANION (Archimedes) AS DOES CASS (Owl).

I absolutely LOVE Hades but I would be so surprised if the red potion is for him. All signs seems to point away from that, sadly. First, the most important clue seems to be the item description and the item name has been causing confusion. "Bring life to something gone lifeless..." Hades never went lifeless. He's a GOD. He rules over the underworld. It just doesn't fit in my opinion! Further, the potion names all use the same letter following their color. (G)leaming (G)old (R)aging (R)ed All potions will likely continue this trend and it causes the potion to adopt specific descriptive names. This in no way seems to indicated that the person receiving the potion HAS to be raging. I think this wording is confusing A LOT of people! I really really wish it was Hades. He's one of my favorite characters. Sadly, I just don't see it... 😕😔 Guess we'll find out eventually! I wish I could believe it was for Hades. I just hope they add him eventually.

I'm not sure what you mean, Stel! The gold potato and gold potion are still available to this day. You can get it right now if you want, and you'll likely still be able to get it when the game goes free-to-play. I'm guessing you weren't aware of this. Raging Red makes me think of Turning Red, not Miguelito from Coco. Chinese food also uses a lot of red chili or whatever it is (I don't like spicy food so I don't know red spices names lol). "Being lifeless" fits Miguelito's journey to the dead land but "Raging Red" fits Turning Red better. And anyway, in Turning Red's context, "being lifeless" could mean someone who is so restricted and controlled by parents and society's expectations, that the person becomes a robot, "lifeless". I should know because it happened to me and it led to a really, really dark path in my life. And I felt numb and lifeless and hopeless. Could have used some Raging Red and Gleaming Gold potions myself back then lol.

I don't think anybody expected them all to be for a companion. 😅 I love the rainbow fox, but I was really surprised none of the clues on the potions meant very much. It was definitely a fun secret quest, but the ending was a bit underwhelming in my opinion!

While I respect your theory, not every player has access to these items. I’m playing on a Mac and there is no place to enter a code on my game. I never got the golden potato and can’t get the red potato.

I have two community members playing on Mac! We chat all the time! They have the items. Every platform has the items. If you can't access them, that means there's something wrong! Everyone has a code redemption section regardless of platform. It's under setting and then under help. Your game needs to be connected to the internet for this to work. In order to collect the red potato from Remmy's house, Remmy needs to he level 10, and all of his quests must be finished. I have another video on my page explaining exactly how to get the items. Thanks for appreciating the theories! Hope you can claim your items. We are all playing the same exact version of this game. Doesn't matter what platform.
