That's a great idea! Until I get a pump to recirculate my wort for the entire mash, I may modify your idea a little to help with my sparging.

How did this go on brew day?

It works great. I use it in almost all of my Brew day videos since then. I did change out the pitchers to Rubbermaid ones with more flexible plastic. Go check out the more recent videos and you'll see them in action. 🍻🤘

@@CityscapeBrewing I just bought a cooler mash tun off facebook marketplace WITH a tap and a sparge setup for $30 Australian. The sparge is a shower head🤯 I can’t wait to use it and I’m really keen to do a video on the “3V system” I have rigged up lol.

Nice! That will definitely work! Let me know how it goes! I was afraid something like that would clog up with some of the grains when I made mine.

Good video, but let's lose the music. I had to strain to listen to you speak over the music. I'm here to learn and to get insight not to be entertained by music. Also..fyi, I use a 5 gallon mesh biab strainer that goes in the mash tun before I add the grains/water. I also have a 10 gallon round igloo cooler with a push down lid. When it is time for draining, the vorlauf is necessary bc everything is contained by the bag. I batch Sparge and drain. Then I pull up the bag and wait till the last of the wort drains into the tun. When finished, then just tip the tun over into the brewpot for the last little bit of wort. Also good to calculate that into your water calculator....0 grain loss.

Thanks for the feedback. I add sound mainly for the portions of the video where I have no talking or 10x speed. I will review the volume during other times and adjust it. I have seen a lot of people using the BIAB in place of a false bottom. That's a good idea!
