@Dean Summers he wasn't that old, but yea he was basically much older. Anakin was 23 in epsiode 3, this game is set 5 years after that so he is 28 right here. Rebels which is stated to be his Prime and possible his strongest he was 37 years old then. Vader was 45-46 when he died in ROTJ not as old as some of the Jedi masters like Mace, or Dooku who was 81-83 years old, and they were still good and powerful.

Inquisitors were trained to be strong enough in order to perform their job as special agents, yet not strong enough to count as proper Sith. That way they were excepted from the Rule of Two. I don't particularly mind the way it ended (mostly cause if I did all that work just to die to the story I'd be annoyed) but the problem is that, like a lot of what Disney has inserted into the timeline between prequels and original trilogy, it kind of creates a significant number of problems that they don't seem to care about resolving at all. I loved Star Wars Rebels as well, but a lot of how things are at the end is just not explained or given detail, even though realistically it SHOULD have major impact on the events that happen later....The really silly part is, even when Disney tries to explain it's plot holes (or dropped plot points that are important) they just end up creating MORE plot holes.... I mean just look at the info coming out to explain what happened to Luke's lightsaber on Bespin when papa Vader got all choppy-choppy on him. The story they created for that is several kinds of stupid for no good reason :/

It was a brilliant piece of story telling on several levels. First, it plays against your expectations. Cere ignites her lightsaber and charges at Vader. You're thinking, alright! Go get him! She's so brave and courageous! There's going to be a big fight! NOPE. He flings her off the cliff with the Force and (literally) a flick of his wrist. She's insignificant. She's just an annoyance, like he's shooing away a fly. It immediately establishes just how incredibly powerful and overwhelming Vader is here. Secondly, it gets Cere out of the way story wise, for a few minutes, so the action can center around Cal and Vader.

Obi-Wan defeated Anakin. But then he was a Jedi master. Don't forget: many of the Jedi knights and masters were off world, when chancellor Palpatine initiated order 66. The temple did not have its full complement of seasoned warriors. And he didn't exactly fight every Jedi on his own; he had help. Having said that, Darth Vader, now that is a different story entirely.

Honestly, Vader has returned to his former glory thanks to the new canon and all of his new comics. Rogue One + This game just illustrate how badass Vader has become in canon. In Legends he was a broken man who was beaten by his apprentice. Here he is still a broken man, but (unlike in Legends) he uses that state to his favour and has become a Force of Nature when fighting and all of his apprentices (the Inquisitors) are utterly TERRIFIED of him.

The voice, the breathing, the slow steps... This was one of the few times Darth Vader was REALLY terrifying. Thats probably a glimpse on how normal soldiers and people felt, when they saw him in person.

Such a wonderful game! Ending (spoiler) didnt have enough impact imo (propably because none of the main protagonists died) but still, a far better story and character development than the last jedi =D

Honestly Trilla's "avenge us" was pretty impactful, but the bit where I literally shouted no at the screen was when it looked like Vader was about to crush BD1 in his fist :p Nearly had a heart attack then

Watch the way she reacts to hearing the breathing, no thought of escape, no moment of defiance, just sheer dread as she falls back on her training, stands at attention and tries not to show fear as she almost autonomously awaits judgement. That's the kind of fear the empire should spark in the hearts of the galaxy. Not this stupid slapstick buffoon BS that Disney has been doing.
