Here's a good looking, well performing AR-10 setup that punches WAY above its weight.
Link to the Arken SH-4J: bit.ly/3yfFPYT (Make sure to use code "texasplinking" for max saving on everything on Arken Optics)
PSA Sabre-10 in 6.5 Creedmoor, plus Arken SH-4J & mount come out to well under $1,700 for the setup. Ammo used was Hornady 140 ELD-M, OSS HX762Ti suppressor, and Harris bipod.
Thanks for watching!

Excellent showing. Your whole rig cost less than my Windham Weaponry R16SFST-308 AR-10 in 7.62 X 51 mm NATO, before scope and before the Magpul Gen III PRS stock I put on it. That is a non-adjustable mid-length gas block on mine. So, yeah, PSA is making a good showing.

If you want a cheap rifle to upgrade, do yourself a favour and get a Remington 783 Heavy Barrel. Timney makes an excellent trigger for it and MDT makes a few chassis' for it. It’s topped with a 4-16 Arken scope as well and with 147gr ELM it regularly prints a single hole 5 shot groups at 100 yards and regularly prints 3/4 and usually down at 1/2 MOA out to 300 yards thus far

Was hoping you would do this video. I have the same rifle (PSA Billetted Sabre M110 SASS clone except with the bag and extra mags) and the EP 5-25x56 Arken and a Q Thunder Chicken in x51 .... I love the dang set-up for the money. Rifle and glass I've got maybe $2200.00 and then another $1600.00 in the can and stamp that I had laying around. I broke it in hard with almost 500 rds Radway Green surplus I had laying around before I gave it a really good scrubbing and then started running different factory loaded match stuff. Now, after six months of playing with it, I'm finally around to dialing-in my handloads and so far so good. It's a 1000 meter rifle in x51. I like it so much I'm probably going-to order one in 6.5 Creed, especially after confirming my suspicions while watching this video. These rifles are worth the money for 99.9% of all hobbyist paper-punchers and hunters that practice their craft. Thanks again for the video. It is very timely for my needs. I know a lot of the guys over at the Flagship Store on Fernandina .... I'll share this video with them, if they're not already aware, when I'm over there at the range tomorrow. I should just have my paychecks direct deposited to JJE anyways .... either way, my money ends up over there. Great Company that we Sandlappers are proud to call ours.

Poop bob!? No! Find a flat level surface, and set a flat and level surface of your upper on it. Then put your scope on loosely, with the base of the mount tight on the rail. Set a bubble level on the elevation cap and adjust till level. Set eye relief, check level, and tighten the screws one at a time. Then remove each screw 1 at a time and blue loctite and re-install. You don't need a poop-bob. If you didnt buy a janky Temu scope, you can use your scope cap.

Only problem with painting is now will pretty much own it forever. Local gun store manager has a Tavor 12 gauge. He did the same thing. And no one wants it now. Psa makes decent rifles but my main issue with them is out of the box their qc kinda sucks. Its always some bullshit with screws not being locktited and shit not being staked properly to where the guns start having issues 1-2 k rounds in. Once you take the gun appart and add the locktite or stake the shit that shoulda been staked the guns will run just fine for thousands of rounds after that but it really is annoying. Like i know 20 cents in locktite and an extra 2 seconds to properly tighten a screw isnt huring your bottom line psa....just do it right the first time.

Most people will continue to shit on it cause it’s a PSA. Granted they don’t help themselves when they release firearms with issues, like you had with the others. But when they’re right, they perform. You couldn’t ask for much better performance, even from rifles 5 times more expensive. Even their budget M4s seem to perform very decently. Now comparing it to my super duty, yes you can feel the difference in quality, but if you’re a regular shooter, you’ll never really know. You can feel the grit, but it functions and they’re fairly accurate. That should be more than enough, especially for the price

That @Hornady ammunition is garbage. The consistency just isn't there. Especially in 6.5 Creedmoor. I recently did some testing of a few lots and was getting 175FPS ES's. I asked them about it and they just said it must be my rifle. LOL. Yeah right. I spoke with some other folks who are well respected in the firearms world, and they were seeing the same thing. They did mention that in Creedmoor, the ELD-X was a bit more consistent but the ELD-M was all over the place.

It’s a budget rifle no matter how much money you have. It may not be affordable to everyone but that’s not what budget means in this context. A C8 corvette is a budget supercar. Doesn’t mean it costs less than a Corolla. It means it performs closer to its competition per cost. So 80% the performance of an actual M110 for 20% of the money. That makes it budget.
@joesackmann5589
@joesackmann5589 5 ай бұрын
Budget based on cost:performance ratio and especially considering it's a clonish rifle of a gun that costs north of $20,000. $1250 is a steal in this case.

@@callum1465 i dont disagree. These days, i would say less folks have $1200 extra laying around. No bs, a BCA 6.5cm upper i have printed a .65moa 5 shot group with sierra gold match. I likely have 1/2 the amount or maybe less in that gun before the optic. Thats "budget".

1250 to have an adjustable gas block, quad rail, 2 stage trigger, billet & ambi, etc etc is exceptional. Absolute budget but everything is relative. You want this from LaRue or knights, it’s $5-11k

@@TexasPlinking i ended up with all of that minus the quad rail (mlok), but yes out the box i dont think theres much with those features at that price. I forget not everyone is a "hotrodder" 😂 and want stuff ready to unpack and use.

This video had literally zero ads… EVERYTHING in this video I bought with my own money minus the ammo, and even then, I don’t get a kickback if you use my code or not. I will get hate for this....but Harris bipods are hot steaming garbage!! They were used in military so naturally every nut hugging, gotta be clone-correct, "pretending I'm a special Ops" LARPER throws it on their rifle...but it's trash!! If you are shooting off a bench, for accuracy, throw that POS away!! Accu Tac is far superior in every way, Tier One is far superior Atlas (obvious alternative for the Harris) The GRS is the TANK (over the bore) Fortmerier (over the bore) Spartan/Valhalla MDT Phoenix Rome (improved Italian version of the Atlas) The Harris is dog poo poo!! People do everything under the sun to improve accuracy but they shoot off a spring loaded, wet noodle of a bipod, just bc it deploys slightlyyy faster
@userJohnSmith
@userJohnSmith 5 ай бұрын
Going to be honest I have some Chinesium knockoff Harrises and they shoot plenty accurate, routine sub MOA yadda yadda with semi autos. Aside from creature comforts, which are significant with the better bipods, you gain very little in accuracy-if you gain anything at all. Course this is only true off the bench or prone.
