This double necked thing I built

So many things went wrong in this build it's unbelievable. However, it's somewhat playable now.

I had recorded a lot of the building process, but I sort of bungled shooting it, so I decided not to use that format on release. For the next one I'll consider it.

That thing is gorgeous, but I am not digging the way the bass sounds. What I dig about uke-bass is the rubbery sound & this kinda just sounds like a regular bass.

It could be the strings. These are Aquila Thundergut strings, which have a nylon core with a firm rubber-like plastic (possibly silicone or TPU) cladding. Aquila strings tend to have a brighter sound.

I'm really curious how the wiring is set up

The bass's pickup goes to its side of an ON-ON-ON les Paul style toggle, and the cable piezo is wired in parallel with the disc piezo for the concert side, and goes into its side of the switch. The output side of the switch goes to a 1 meg tone pot with a 0.043uf cap if I recall. This then goes to the output jack. Ground is a star ground
