Great save! And your blue dress is really cute. Such a dramatic difference between the two, just goes to show what using a different view can do.

Fabulous save to a gorgeous dress! I don’t mind the seam above, this dress just screams summer! Now, as far as that oil, I’ll just take your word for it! 😉😂

I hear you on the oil. Lol. 😂😂 I have grown to love the additional seam on the dress. I’m so glad I was able to find a way to make the dress fit better. Thank you so much, Myra.

Yay, you saved it! After all the thought and care you put in, the white dress came out great. I have a "too short bodice" sewing make that I was going to take apart, but I decided to wear it today and lo and behold someone complimented me on my beautiful dress! Still thinking about redoing it though! I love how sewing allows you to figure things out for yourself, make changes, and progress in your skills. The blue dress is perfection, the sleeve length looks nice. Always a pleasure to watch your videos and I look forward to seeing what you have made (and all the other stuff you share). Happy Sunday!

Hi, Janis. I was so happy that I found a way to save the dress. I kept thinking about what I could do. I really wanted it to work out, and I like it much more now that it fits better. Isn’t it just wonderful to receive compliments on garments you’ve made. So nice that someone noticed how beautiful your dress is. I can only imagine how lovely it is. Yes. I love how you can let your creativity flow with sewing. I learn so much, especially after making mistakes, which I’m often prone to do. 🤦🏽♀️ 😂 I hope you had a great weekend. Thanks for being here. It’s always a pleasure to chat with you.

I love your creativity to your sewing makes! Also I love all three styles! You know some women would have loved the dress hugging their hips 😉!

Thank you so much. I think the dresses in this pattern are really cute. I may have to make the longer version again one day. Good point about the hip hugging. Lol

I have been thinking about sewing this for me, but wanted to lengthen the sleeve. NOW I WILL DO AS YOU DID! Yipee! When you made the white dress I would have done the same never taking into account the longer length would hit at my hip. THANK YOU! Woo Hoo! Now just to find some fabric!
@Manecoarse Жыл бұрын
Your comment made me smile just reading that you would have done the same as I did with the white dress, not taking into account the longer length. :) I think that's something I will remember to consider for sure going forward. Enjoy making your dress and any adjustments, and have fun finding fabric to sew it in. This pattern is really nice. I think you're going to love this dress. Thanks again, and you're so welcome.

Oh sis.....you saved the white dress......I think you look awesome in white.....keep as is. The blue one is great too. You are so funny, as you cut here and cut there and you make it work.....almost always (I know you would say not always 😅). Great job as always and thanks for the tips too.

Hey!! I did manage to save the white dress, which I’m so happy about. I can definitely see myself making the long view again one day. Thank you so much. 😂. I had to think about what I could do to not let the white dress be a total fail.

love your dresses! thank you for sharing how you made the changes- the sleeves, etc. & like the added pocket :) and both of the fabrics are very nice. now i want to try that essential oil- know what you mean about a good cologne. :)

Hi, Heather. The essential oil is really nice. (I couldn’t think of a better way to describe the scent.) 😂 Thank you so much. I think the rayon fabric really gave the dresses a nice flow. I like the idea of having a longer dress and a shorter dress in this pattern. May make the longer view again one day. You’re welcome. Thanks again. :)

I really like the way you alter your patterns. You give very sensible processes. Why have I never thought to tape the tissue paper when altering to my cutting mat? Duh! Thanks for this review.😊😊

Hi, Frances. Thank you so much. Lol. I have light bulb moments all the time, so I completely get it. I use removable tape also. It lifts up easily and doesn't leave any residue. I hope that also help. :)

I notice you don't use the lines designated to lengthen the bodice. It would have moved the hip space down for you. I really like the flow of the white dress. I would probably wear the dark denim more though.
@Manecoarse Жыл бұрын
I think I’ll wear the navy dress more also. I’m so glad I was able to work out a way to make the white dress fit better.

I like your white dress. Try using a belt to cover the seam. I made this dress also. I felt the bodice was too long for my liking. So I wear a belt so you feel as though there is another tier without actually adding it
@Manecoarse Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much. I appreciate the suggestion. I may make the longer version again one day. So cool that you made this dress. I can picture it with a belt too.
