Went for a driver fitting to replace my driver that was bought in 2015. Expected to get a new Mavrik. After trying Callaway Taylormade and Titlest drivers the fitter suggested the Tour Exotic. I loved it was getting a little more yardage and with the money I saved got a new Tour Exotic 3 wood and still saved.

Been fan of Tour Edge going back to the late 90's, when I stumbled across their "Lift-Off" Iron-Wood hybrids. In fact, I just had them re-gripped and have them (3,4 & 5) back in the bag. When the Exotics line was released, I purchased the 2 & 3 (18*, 21*) Exotics Iron-Woods, which had adjustable weight screws. The welded face of the 2 Iron-Wood came off and Tour Edge replaced it "no questions asked." Currently also have a Tour Edge EXS 3 Wood, which is 17* (more the loft of a 4-5 Wood) with a 3 Wood length shaft, a good club for broken-down-old-folk.

The Tour Edge Exotics driver has never performed at top end, for whatever the reason. Their fairway metal and hybrids on the other hand, are truly outstanding. I was introduced to Exotics about 8 years ago with the CB4 3 metal. I finally replaced it with the EXS 220 this year. i compared the EXS with the Mavrik and found the EXS went just as far and was easier to swing for me. The Mavrik face was a titch hotter when hit dead center, but for $50 less, the EXS was the clear winner in my mind - i never hit the dead center anyway.

Just being a little nitpicks here, but wouldn’t this driver comp better to a TS2? Weight back, high MOI, etc. Also, the TS3 used to be your gamer, so it’s been fitted for you. Not necessarily a fair comparison, is it? I mean outside of the 3 low ones (240, 249, & 251), everything else looked pretty good on distance, and the dispersion was great. Would be interesting to see what a fitted version of this club would do for you. Seems like a club you could potentially play at a lower loft to kill some spin. Some brands and/or models of drivers, for whatever reason, are like that. Possibly the low & back CG/high MOI head? Anyway, good video and content as always, just wanted to share a few thoughts. Cheers, mate!
