Just got one of these my brakes were wrong way round apparently it’s only the uk that has the rear brake on the left ,simple fix just swapped the hydraulic lines over I didn’t fancy leaving it as in an emergency situation you could give it a handful of left and end up over the bars nice reviews watched a few now cheers mate

I got my first proper e-bike other day and loving it ♥️ it’s a Apollo Mars M3, with 250w motor, 36v and it’s dose the job. The battery is made by Samsung. I can only seem to get 15..5 mph even with the limit off. I changed the wheel size to a smaller size on controller and just made the bike slower. But I am still loving the bike, day by day but dose wish I went with one with a throttle and not peddle assist only but don’t healthy bank acount sadly. Yours video aspired me to get an e-bike but I am thinking of building my own e-bike at a late of day. Would I be able to get some advice and help bulding an e-bike and thanks P.S I do live in the uk and where I am from the uk the police don’t care about e-bikes to much lol 😅

I have this bike.... The only thing wrong with it is the single side pull brakes..... I switched them out with dual, stops great now....goes fast..... I've got 700 miles on mine.... I took off the speed limit....got it to 50.... pretty easy, but you burn your brakes stopping.... I love it.... certain brake shoes are better than others too....buy it you won't regret it.....

So each motor is 500 watt, making it a 1000 watt ebike, my ebike has a single 1000 watt front wheel drive motor on it and it does 35 miles an hour, the full kit minus the battery cost £180 from Ebay.

My battery cost £250 for a 17ah battery which I bought when it was in a sale, and the reason my bike does 35 miles an hour and your doesn';t is because you have got big heavy stupid wheels that no one needs. The point is you can always build to your own specifications cheaper than buying a ready built bike

It would be fairer and more valuable to test this against a 1000W ebike rather than an overvolted 350W? At least it would make the differences between single 1000W vs dual 500W clear in terms of climbing, grip/traction on wet/grassy surface and overal handling.

Intersting video. But, this is not a legal ebike. Under UK law its a motor bike. So it needs a registration plate, full third-party motorcycle insurance and the rider must also wear a motorcycle helmet.

The speed needs to be governed otherwise we will have cycles overtaking traffic and stopping too fast for other vehicles to react,other measures would need to be in place like protection of the head & body just like a motorcyclist,the problems would be too great too.I'm not for it and you will get that person flouting the rules riding on our paths.

Chester Police There have been a lot of comments regarding E-Bikes and particularly the homemade or adapted bicycles fitted with batteries and motors sourced off the internet. E-Bikes or EAPC are built specifically as such with motors and batteries tested and conforming to legislation and safety testing. The kits bought off the internet will not conform to the legislation and therefore are not EAPC's. When a bicycle is fitted with one of these kits they become a moped and require MoT, TAX and most importantly INSURANCE. it is not possible to get insurance for these bikes so if used on the road will be subject to siezure under section 165a of the Road Traffic Act. Below is a basic guide to EAPC's. We strongly recommend that you do your homework prior to buying or fitting these kits off the internet. Key points E-bikes that meet the current EAPC regulations, minus a few exceptions, are treated as normal bicycles. The basic requirements are: the cycle must be fitted with pedals that can propel it; the electric motor must not exceed a maximum continuous rated power of 250W; and the electric motor must not offer electrical assistance beyond a speed 15.5mph. We purchased this Vivi 27.5” electric bike and a Tentaquil 26” electric bike for our 13 and 14 year olds. kzbin.infoUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ The Vivi was much easier to put together. With the Vivi, there was a video link to assist with assembly which made the process easier to follow (we did put the handlebars on upside down, but it was a quick and easy fix). With the Tentaquil, the assembly was not as simple to follow, but after we messaged the company for an assembly video, it was easier and they did respond quickly. The other major differences were that the Vivi has a grip throttle on the right handle (like a motorcycle) and the Tentaquil has a push throttle that you use your thumb to activate. The monitors were also different, so if you’re looking for something specific in terms of changing the bikes functions, pay attention to what the monitor offers. We were really impressed with the overall quality and functionality of both bikes, but if you’re looking for more power and an easier assembly, definitely go with the Vivi!

The thing is that's not legal on UK roads. My electric bike is a 250w which is legal but I think dangerous on some of these roads at 15.5mph. Also it struggles on hills. If I could ride a more powerful bike legally I would buy one the electric bikes are amazing no question. Just think the laws are a little bit unrealistic for modern traffic. Get a bafang 250w rear hub motor. It does 23mph right out the box with a 36v battery. Slap on a 48v battery and you’re looking at closer to 30mph. All on a 250w kit. So ‘technically’ its still legal. Aint like a 1000w motor thats obvious and will draw attention.
