I'd expect khris to be a main benefactor from the this pick and roll. What makes it crazy is that the defenders that will collapse are more than likely from brook and Khris, who can knock down open 3s. Especially khris should feast on this system. Every type of zone they will put up will leave khris middelton with the opportunity to cook. Hope he is healthy this season.

Jokic has midrange, 3 ball, incredible touch around the basket, hook shots, sombor shuffle, etc. It’s not even close there. Murray is arguably a better driver and finisher at this point than Dame. I don’t think Dame’s midrange is near as good as Murray’s either. It’s Jokic & Murray all day.

Brook Lopez gets me most excited when thinking about this. They actively try and get him involved in pick and rolls. And that isn't changing. I could see Giannis as more of a slasher to the basket, (which is probably what he should do), and Khris as a stationary three point shooter for kick outs. If they're all willing to play their roles then this will be deadly. And time and time again this team has proven itself to put system and role above player. Regardless, all three of those guys are shot creators, which means hopefully (they do a lot of play calling, and executions), but if they don't they can play iso-ball all day and STILL have a competent half-court offense. That was one of their biggest gripes when they had Jrue and of course coach Bud. They were uncreative in the half court, and just ended up jacking it up at the end of possessions in the post season. If they really lose themselves and resort to that now, they have Dame. One of the best ever to do that.

This is also going to be one of the most insane transition teams in the league, Giannis is already by far the best transition scorer in the league and best the league has seen since LeBron in his Miami days, and now he has a top 5 shooter ever as a running mate to set him up or trail for a free look. I know know this is a hot take but, I don't know if this trade was a good move. If you watch the Bucks you notice Jrue's impact on defense. I think it goes as far as him being the anchor that made the bucks Defense work. His defense allowed brook to be the intimidating presence he was by luring them to the paint were Lopez was waiting using drop coverage. He also unlocked Giannis ability to be a free safety on defense he was literally the 1st line of defense for the bucks and the schemes they played. It will be fun to seeing how the adjust and hide Dame's lack luster defense. Offense wins championships thats hellaaa true but, Jrue was just super steady both ways that I don't necesarrily think adding someone who is a flame throw we on offense but, a mid defender will make a impact that is expected especially right away, if Kris was healthy running it back didn't seem that bad and if they flop we'll Giannis still might leave😅

My main counter to this point would be that the 2019 and 2020 Bucks were every bit as good defensively as they were in 2021 and 2022. (If not better) I think they’ll be fine enough defensively that the added offensive punch just makes them so much better equipped for higher competition.

Lopez is the anchor to that defense. Jrue’s defense in the playoffs has only been valuable for a select few series and a majority of the time it hasnt been very beneficial at all (especially against Butler last season). Also Jrue’s offense fell off a cliff when the playoffs came, giving Giannis way less room and stagnating the Bucks halfcourt offense.

unpopular opinion here: I actually believe that Dame could provide the Bucks with some decent perimeter defense, I say this because when he was on the Blazers the majority of the scoring load was on HIM, so without him being the focal point on offense now he can expend some more energy to the defensive side of the ball. Now I'm not saying that he's gonna be no Jrue Holiday but I think we will see Dame develop into a SOLID 3 and D guard.
