Nice review! I bought one of these mics a couple of weeks ago, and I love it! I'm in a relatively noisy situation, and the Maono is much better than my condenser mics in rejecting background noise. The condenser mics are more sensitive, but they also pick up each time the A/C unit switches on, right outside my room- but with the Maono, all that gets recorded is my voice! The price is right, too, especially considering all you get along with the mic.

Is it compatible with wireless adapter? In case to transform it to be a wireless dinamic microphone.

Thank you for this video! Just bought 2 of these for podcasting and I need to buy a USB adapter for my iPhone. Brand spanking’ new at this game, so everything helps, thank you! Love your background creativity, btw 😉

If you want to check out a cheap dynamic XLR mic, I can recommend the Superlux PRA628 Mk2 - it's on Thomann for about £30 or equivalent. I use it as my voice mic for streaming and it works a treat for me. Needs plenty of gain, but I like the way it sounds, especially considering the price.

Hi Gael, thanks for this review. That seems like pretty nice microphone. It's good to hear it sends signal through XLR and USB simultaneously.

Maono has really stepped up their game. Thanks for the great video!

I love seeing tech that's good for streaming thats plug and play or usb, but that is also more versatile for production in general

How's it when coupled with Maonocaster for podcasting / live streaming including karaoke singing

Can you take the microphone out of the shock mount WITHOUT disconnecting the XLR cable? Like when u feel like holding the mic karaoke style? It looks like i would have to disconnect it every time i wanna take it out of the stand and hold only the mic.
@deniswauchope37883 жыл бұрын
To do that, get a simple mic holder that the cable can be pulled out of, they're cheap & it'll still attach to the base. The shock mount goes all around the mic, so it'd still be on the mic cable if you didn't remove the XLR plug.

I might have to pick this up. I've been waiting on the Samson Q9U (xlr/usb combo) for ages and it's just not happened.

I hope some budget focused brands starts doing some cool looking usb dynamic mics. Condenser mics have way more nice looking than dynamic ones.

Can you use this without adding extra gain in the software? The one complaint I heard about this was even at 100%, this isn't loud enough
@1rwicked2 жыл бұрын
yea true its better used with the audio interface so you can control the gain
@rvijayteja2 жыл бұрын

Can you hear the voice monitor through USB wireless headset?
@deniswauchope37883 жыл бұрын
No, it's only through a wired connection, using a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack to the rear of the mic.

To my ears the maonao sounds better than the usb mic you use normally, there's not as much echo muddying your voice.

the Maono AU-HD300s is literally the same thing but instead of a small stand and a pop filter, you get a boom arm.
