Great build, I'll definitely try running this tonight. As a hh main myself I recommend looking into the maximum might, Agitator, Stamina Thief, Slugger, elemental increase skill combo. Being able to stun Ala and really any monster at random arse times is OP.

What a great video. And useful as well, you make him look easy. My first time was really hard, I was using a very different build, lance and my partner was at the same point trying the same along with me, with a dragon LS. It took us many tries. We both got our first victory solo later, but we only stopped trying until we could officially beat him as a team. We later got safi equipment and that's way easier, we even did some casual Speedruns.Great stuff 1 (Uno)

Edit: you could also re-weaken horns while the mon is on the ground. Does not make a drastic difference but it makes it easier. If you want a complete meme then go kill alatreon with a kinsect. Kinsects do mostly elemental damage and some of them hit for anywhere from 80 to 100 dmg while buffed. Just make sure to boop the snoot of the monster with your kinsect.

As a gunlance user it's pretty evident that capcom didn't give a single fk about us or lance players when designing this fight. I've finally figured out a setup that can pass the checks at the expense of all mobility and no guard. Day 3 of suffering, so I'm living vicariously through you to watch this mf get pummeled until I can finally beat it lol 2:32 also thanks for bringing this up. It's the worst part about this fight as a new player IMO. I'm behind like 3.5k damage simply because I haven't beaten him before.

I hate that we got such a perfect ice HH build (especially when you graduate to AT Velkhana armor) but fire mode Alatreon's moveset is so much more annoying than ice mode...never got a better fire Horn than Safi

@@Uno_Hunter I think the fire Kulve HH was the Anjanath 1 but better, but Anja's Horn was...not good lol. My usual for ice Alatreon was Safi with a Velkhana awakening so I could run a 3 Velk+2 Fatalis Frostcraft set. Punishing those frost breath openings are just perfect

@@KPlaysHere The best Kulve HH for Ice Alatreon is the Kjarr Thunder HH, funnily enough (Kirin horn but better). Yes, people tell to use fire for the fight, but Kjarr thunder packs so much goddamn element that fire element being roughly 33% better for the elemental check overall doesn't matter. Edit: altho I'll admit that the Kirin-type HH is so defensively and elementally oriented, that the raw suffers. So Safi fire is still better for reaching the perfect middle in the offense

@@rasmus90 you usually want that good middle or something raw leaning, because Alatreon is technically a raw focused fight with an element based special mechanic. You only need just enough element to get the check once per Escaton Judgement, but that depends on the player. If you want easier/more topples, that's when you go with your Kjarr Myth, Safi with higher fire, or Barioth. Weirdly enough, the best results (fastest kills) come from Fatalis since it has high raw, Dragon Echo Wave, and juuuust enough dragon element to chip away at the elemental threshold, but you have to be REALLY good at laying on the pressure to pull that off.
