Do you have to put the fenders on? Any negative impact from leaving them off?....really enjoy your ebike reviews....

The rear fender was already attached. There shouldn't be any real impact unless you ride in wet weather. Glad to hear you enjoy them! I'll keep making them as long as these companies keep reaching out to me.

The problem with ebikes is they are slow and have a battery that runs out. I'd rather ride a lightweight bike myself and eat food to power the thing with my legs.

I've tested some bikes that go almost 40 MPH with double batteries so they last forever, it's just so inconvenient to have to transport such heavy bikes. For daily riding the trails I agree and use a Trek hybrid but this Tenways bike can easily be used in the same way only using pedal assist when you need to on hills which should make the battery last even longer.

Absolutely agree. It's scary to look around and seeing young kids on an e-bike. Even the stores here in Belgium all show e-bikes in the spotlights and regular city bikes are placed in a dark corner. Why am I looking at these ebikes. In my 50's now and starting to suffer from a bike accident that happened in '95. One knee sometimes seriously hurts like hell. I have 2 folds, 1 small foldable e-bike and a mountain bike from the 90's. If you are young you don't this, except for people who cycle to work and don't want to arrive sweating. (but even then)

most ebikes have the problem that they are not that fast regular bikes first. they use the help of electronics as a substitution for efficiency. this doesn't solve that at all.

I guess it depends on the user. I average 11.5 MPH on my hybrid bike on the trails which can also be achieved on this without assistance. For more seasoned riders on road bikes it definitely won't be as fast. It rides very much like a hybrid
