FYI, the name Malioboro comes from the name of General Marlbourgh, a general of the British Allied forces who was killed on that road during World War II. Because Indonesians find it difficult to pronounce Marlbourgh, it was named Malioboro at the time the Dutch and British troops attacked the city of Yogyakarta.
