Translations of Japanese level names: Level 1 かなりギリギリ？？ "Is It Pretty Tight??" Level 4 空からアイテム "Items from the Sky" Last Level 緑を駆よう！【Lets make it green!】 駆よう doesn't seem to be a real word, I cant find it in my dictionary at least, think it's a mis/alternative spelling of 駆けよう, making the Japanese part of the title something like: "Let's Dash through the Green!"

@@apexkonchu2234 no, but nintendo would have to restrict what you can put in them. maybe you shouldn't be able to drop anything on them at all, but you could choose between two variants -- a hidden block with just a coin, or a hidden block with a 1up.

So I have a few replies. 1. There is a boo button for that exact reason (also a skip button). 2. This would add a limit and this is a game where you can make a level to your own taste, so the more you can do, the better. 3. People will make poopy levels, no matter what.

@@giannistek1 1. the boo option is no substitute for design that encourages better levels in the first place. 2. everything has limits. the mario maker franchise has a ton of limits, many of which seem arbitrary and unduly restrictive; i'm all for relaxing or removing many of those, but they should be replaced by limits that actually serve the interests of players -- and limiting what goes into a hidden block would definitely fall into that category. 3. on average, people will make whatever is easiest to make with the toolset that is presented to them. there will always be outliers, but course maker design should absolutely be concerned with guiding amateur course makers in the right direction.

@@apexkonchu2234 make it so that clear condition level that requires key, coin, and specific items like fire flower if use in a condition cannot be put in the hidden block. For example if the level require big Mario, mushroom cannot be put in the hidden block, if the level requires to collect all coin then coin cannot be put in the hidden block. And keys cannot be put in the hidden block. It’s doable. The only way to troll would be hidden block that uses vine to reach some part of the map. So probably forbid vines as well. Well, the bad trolls will circle around it by making certain section inaccessible without certain power up but it would greatly limited the bad options. Another way is to reveal the hidden block after a certain amount of time passed with some effect. Like if the hidden block is loaded when the player enter the screen range, after x amount of time depend on the length of the level the hidden block will be revealed. Like if the level is 20 secs the hidden block should only takes 8-10 secs to be highlighted or something like that. So if the level is 100 secs long it will reveal itself. Then there will be only the choice to hide the block on the later part of the level due to time limitation to avoid it to reveal itself and if a life is spend on the level the time require to reveal will be lower by total time x y% sec for each life spend. So in a level that lasted 200 secs, once you die for example the time the block would be highlighted goes from 80 seconds to 70 seconds, next time it will be 60 seconds and so on.
