COOl video. thank you. Question: my store is 2 months old mainly selling tshirts and sweatshirts with a few mugs. and I have sold one sale I have low traffic. Should I stay the course and focus on my niche designs to allow Etsy to understand the type of store i am or start selling desk mats and blankets and maybe telephone cases to add to my shop categories? BTW a future discussion on shop categories and how etsy ranks you is an over looked and confusing subject.
@c.u.online10 ай бұрын
Look at your stats and see how your listings are doing. If you have low traffic, you might need to update your SEO, or mockups. Follow through the ones that are getting clicks or views. I'd also recommend asking someone you know to buy from your shop and leave a review, to add credibility. It will be a long journey of testing and research so I'd suggest focusing on your niches first. Once you have selling designs and niches, you can then try adding other related products to your shop.

This is why capitalism doesn’t breed innovation. You see the same type of listings over and over with very minimal changes. I respect it, genuinely, like make that money however you need to. I wish I could do this successfully. It just really perfectly illustrates the problem with money equaling life.
@pat40052 ай бұрын
You are very confused. Capitalism has nothing to do with a person or company's personal CHOICE of what products to create and sell. That is their own choice to foolishly copy a product verbatim. If they choose to be lazy, and just copy some other person's or company's designs with minimal changes, then they will discover that their sales will suffer, (if they make any at all), and their copycat shop and/or products will not be able to compete with an already established and popular shop selling those original products. In fact, Capitalism encourages and exemplifies innovation! 😊 That is because the free market itself will let a seller know right away that they must be creative, resourceful, and innovative, as copied product designs only have a very short life-span until the "next thing" comes along. Blankets have always been around, and so has just about everything else. It is up to the seller to come up with fresh designs or 🎉marketing to drive potential buyers to their shop. Also, what makes no sense is your comment about "the problem with money equaling life". What does that have to do with Capitalism, if anything? Many other non-Capitalist societies use money! Money is the simplest way to trade between products, services, etc., and to save or set-aside savings in a portable form, for another day. If not for "Money", then we are stuck trying to barter, and haggling each day over the value of exchange between labor, products and services! Even ancient societies and cultures, thousands of year old, used "money" as currency for trade. Whether it be precious metal coins, beads, etc., there was some form of agreed-upon currency used to enable making exchanges between people, simplified, easy and portable. If you are stuck bartering, how would you make change for a person who had a goat with them at the market, but wanted to buy a loaf of bread? You can only offer them what you have. Maybe you have a few chickens and eggs from a previous barter that day, but that is not what the person wants as change for their goat anyway. How would you pay people for services that are not products? Money is part of life. It is interwoven with daily living but only harmful to people that focus their world around it. But even then, it is their choice, and nobody's business to be the world's thought police.
