As a Marine I can say without a doubt that knife blows. I currently have three of them and they sit in a Rubbermaid storage container along with some other knives I no longer use. I broke one just hacking some small branches to camouflage a Jeep in the 80’s. After that I basically babied every other one I carried. My current go to knives are from the Becker line.

I own 2 x Fallkniven. An A1 and a NL2. Both wonderful blades in my personal opinion. I purchased the A1 2nd hand. Fortunately for me they are both real. An earlier DBK video plus other online references were very handy in showing how to id a real vs fake Fallkniven. BTW if you can melt the leather handle with a cigarette lighter its a sure sign the NL is not real lol 😂 🇳🇱 🇳🇿

Some 9 years ago visited a 3 day bushcraft gathering in Germany and bought a fake Fallkniven F1 made in China. I'm all against the abuse of the original name and brand but my goal was to test it against my original F1 and show the differences (on video) and of course have the Chinese clone break on me. The clone is some stainless steel and has a flat grind. I suspect 440C steel but I'm not sure. Eventually I gave up and the video never came. Not only did it not break but it did perform about as good. For food prep even better. This year I went to another bushcraft jamboree (gathering) in Germany but helped building everything up and breaking down so spend a week in the woods. Besides my SAK and a short machete decided to bring the Chines F1 clone as only fixed blade small camp knife and see how that worked. It did everything I wanted from cutting rope, zipp ties, food prep, cutting wood, batoning, making a fire, etc. Surrounded by people with very expensive knives of about the same size I could not find anything my knife could not do and theirs could. So not all Chinese made knives are bad. One of my favorites is actually the 'Brother F006'. It's a clone of the ESEE RB3 but in 440 stainless steel and with a very good fitting kydex sheath.

You should sharpen it to your own grind and test it. Because even some good brands like Böker often comes with absolutely crap edges. But when you regrind it it becomes a good knife.
