This reminds me of the dream St. John Bosco had when Our Lady appeared to him cooking candy for the salesians, saying that "the red ones cost blood". Even if it seems to be a small wound, I can't imagine losing a fingernail like that felt good at all. It was probably very painful for months, and yet the good saint bore it in love for God.

What's the difference between the Waldensians and the protestants? It sounds a lot like they have a lot in common. Especially in certain denominations they don't believe in that mary is a perpetual virgin, infant baptism, transubstantiation, the sacrement of confession, etc.

Yep, pretty much. However, Peter Waldo was before Martin Luther, I believe.

Martin Luther believed Mary was a perpetual virgin.The Wesley brothers believed it.I never liked John Calvin but he believed it so much he had people put to death who denied it I guess that goes to show he wasn't all bad.
