Chicken Andy has admitted several times on streams that most donations are fake and laundering money. Ice Poseidon pretends he is not associated but I guarantee he is laundering all his Cx Coin money through these streamers.

He ran into a money laundering scheme in spring of 2019 I remember. The FBI raided his "streamer mansion", took all the electronics and all of his cronies at the time have since fallen off the map. He was tipped off to the Federal Trade Commission, but nothing ever came of it. Hope he gets what he deserves

It's more than that though. Many followers of these people have seen them grow their channels so they feel an affinity with them and even some sort of ownership. Similar to when someone listens to a band during their early career that goes on to be very big. The problem is they actually have no idea what they're really like because their content will generally be scripted and edited to show a certain side of themselves. Some influencers realise they can take advantage of that feeling of affinity. There's the low end where ppl sell generally crappy merch all the way up to these kind of scams. Actually imagine buying a crypto currency because some no mark that streams their life and clearly has no financial experience advises you to.

They are narcissistic sociopaths and thrive on people talking about them, even if it's negative because they aren't able to empathize with other people.
