Had to share a random Grandma comment/event that just happened. We watched this last night and today she went grocery shopping with me. While putting the eggs in the holder she said "I will think of him when I see eggs now." I was very confused and asked her who she was talking about. Grandma - "ISM" Me - XD "Insym?!" Store tomatoes are picked long before they are ripe and then ripened using ethylene gas before they are put on the shelves. This makes them firmer and stronger for transport and delays 'ripeness' until they are available for purchase.

Tomato are far and away the best thing to grow, because the gap in flavor twixt grown and bought is simply so massive compared to other harvestables. "I have literally never had a tomato before, apparently!" is how I felt for my first year growing.

@@runandarnell8514 Home grown tomatoes are super tasty but we also sometimes pick them a bit green because if you have too many you can't wait till they're all super ripe on the plant else they go bad before you can eat them all. You can obviously do all kinds of things with tomatoes like make your own sauce and jam if you have too many ripe tomatoes all at once.

Hello your friendly neighborhood Backyard chicken farmer here- If you have an acre (4046 square meters) or more of land, Chickens are great and surprisingly don't make a lot of loud noise! The Rooster is the only one who's noisy, and they often only crow when they're asserting their dominance over an area and to scare off predators. Might be a good idea to ask your neighbors first if they'd be okay with the noise, but in my experience I don't know anyone who doesn't love being woken up by Rooster crows. The chickens themselves are cheap, but the coop and the food are often very expensive, and if you have neighbors you'll wanna get some chain link fence and section out a 'run' for them. Depending on how many you get, you'll be swimming in eggs once they start laying, but you'll never have to buy eggs from the supermarket again lol. Definitely recommend if you're willing to put in the effort!

But yes I agree, getting the hen is easy and usually inexpensive (as long as it isn't a chick), but the coop is a lot more expensive.

Does anyone else find it weird how game developers show that an object is heavy by slowing down your movement speed when in real life you're actually more likely to move faster but are at more risk of dropping the item? Like, if games handled weight realistically, you would move at a normal or faster speed, but your stamina would drain quickly and you would eventually drop the item and it would take a few seconds to pick it back up due to exhaustion.

If you do another run at some point, try some slow entries into the house. On my first day I was walking into the house fairly early in the evening, before dark to try to avoid the scaries, and there was an "EXTREMELY CURSED" face, as you would say, sticking upside-down out of the fireplace that disappeared as I continued through the door way. No sooner did I round the corner of the door to the left did I see a shadowy figure standing next to the pillar at the bottom of the stairs. I also had something whisper off to my left in the bedroom as I was trying to get into bed; it was terrifying! I love how even after watching you play through this game twice it still has some surprises and jump-scares up its sleeves. I am not generally a horror game player but after watching you stream this one I KNEW I had to play it! I would love to somehow support the development of this game as I have not been more excited for a full release of a game than I am for this one!

Lol! Grocery store tomatoes look as smooth as they do because they're picked before they're ripe. Tomatoes, like other fruits, continue to ripen after they're picked so big stores do this to ship more tomatoes before they go bad. They taste MUCH better when picked later though~

Not all tomatoes. The Mediterranean varieties don't burst because they're used to very little water, and the sun ripens them until they're sweet before they burst. Source: my native tomato garden that I water sparingly, because that's what the seeds require.

Yes and like you said that's why store tomatoes have barely any taste, many people blame GMO's which isn't the case. If they have enough time to ripe on the plant and picked at the right moment, tomatoes have amazing taste. I bet most people born and living in big cities (especially younger generations) never even tasted the real taste of a tomato. I'm growing my own tomatoes, cucumbers and hot peppers in my backyard, I tried giving some tomatoes to people I know which didn't want to take them because they "don't trust something not coming from a supermarket" and because I'm using compost for fertilizer and that they don't want to eat "shit tomatoes" and I was like bro how do you think plants grow.. it's sad how disconnected people have become and even entitled that when you try to give them the real thing they refuse it but at the same time pretend they care about organic and healthy foods.

Loving this game. Didn't think I'd be into horror farming simulator when my wife described it to me, but man, this was fun. I've watched a few people play it and the scares are always different--but you're the first person I've seen get the Couple before that last run to the shed. Seeing them at the fence scared the hell out of me. Fantastic game. Hope developer starts a Kickstarter, and that the streamers boost them. I would hate to see this be another awesome idea that just fades due to lack of funding. Thanks for playing it.

I would personally suggest difficulty types based on the timer between night and day so even the more casual farming sim enjoyer can get spooked or enjoy the overall atmosphere of the game that's been created. Potentially sorting the farm into larger grids and having snaplock locations makes it easier for both casual and efficient style gamers. Also the people that really need symmetry lol. The space of 1 chicken coop takes up 4-9? tomato plants or something and you can balance it around that with further mechanics like protecting the crops with manually scaring away birds until you have scarecrows or protecting the chickens by being forced to come outside during the night and fight predators until you have enough money to fence out a chicken coup, and by that time players are further along as you add an extra threat that can break fences or something. But then yknow maybe this is why the dev avoids publishers and I'm just putting forth bad ideas that fall into titled game notions. Absolutely go with your vision until the end product is what you wanted because you have a grand premise and a very solid execution. If i wasn't a broke ass I would contribute because this seems like a rare horror thing i'd play.

Hey Insym, you are amazing. It demands recognition that you have checked out other playthroughs and have streamed this game again to share some stuff of this with the community. I also assume the dev was very thankful that you played his game on a stream again. I agree with you that EA would be a good way for him to start as he already has a large number of ppl who had this on the wishlist. He could also add a small supporter pack incl. e.g. some special playground and other stuff for the kitty as a thank from the dev. This should not cost much time to develope and all ppl who like to have this will support him additionally by buying it. This might work.

I'm confused, but not by this upload but by some people who are "confused" by this or even angry at Insym... He has literally done that for a long time now that he streams a game live (with additional games if there is still time) and shortly afterwards put online cut videos with just the single games. So you can always decide: you can watch if you catch it live, you can watch the full live experience later or you can wait for the cut video of the game you are interested in. You don't have to watch all of it. I'm f.e. not that interested in Lethal Company but I just. Don't. Watch. It. Then. Some people I just don't get.

So how do you open the attic? I would love to see the developer do this like the forest, go for early access and let us test it enmass. Put in updates as they come. This is a cool unique game and has a lot of potential. The last game I played I was outside the door at night and got attacked by that thing that keeps hitting you, I ran into the house and turned around to see if it would come in but it stopped or rather appeared at the door then disappeared. I was pretty scary looking. The cool thing about this demo is that you dont always get the same scares. Like the flashlight guy, the scarecrow in the house, I got different ones than was shown here. Cant wait and hope that this game continues Edit, regarding ending - The Forest which is amazing IMO is also story driven and has changed. People need to go in knowing they are alpha testing to help the dev out and that things will change before the final release. I hope he goes the same way. Dont do kickstarter go early access and let us test it and find bugs for you while we pay for the access like the forest but also enjoy the content its a win win IMO

There is a creator's note on the load page that he tells of a man who drove off one day into the wilderness. He drove until he ran out of gas, and then got out and started walking. He lived in the forest for twenty-seven years. He was in Maine, US, and in the winter was at risk of freezing to death. I won't give any spoilers to the remaining story, but it is part of where he came up with this idea.

Chickens are awesome! I'm in a super close-quarters suburb (I can reach over my backyard fence into my neighbor's yard) and she has a giant wooden fence with quite a few hens and a rooster. My room is the closest in the house to her backyard and I only ever hear them when I go outside or open the back room's window. They stay fairly quiet, give our neighbor free eggs and she even gives us some every now and then

Just because it has a storyline doesn't mean it can't be early access! Raft is a sandbox sort of game that also has has you follow coordinates to different story progressing islands. It first started with just a few chapters of the story available, and over time released more and more of the story through multiple updates during early access

This is going at the top of my wish list. This looks like it could be a true, dark masterpiece and the message from the Dev broke my heart. This sounds crazy... but what if the game is in early access, or hell, a "pre-order" that would help with funding immensely. I was thinking maybe some sort of "Limited Edition" or just like "Support funding" if you don't want the game specifically, but have funders names in the game in some unique way.. like maybe at the end of the game it fades to black and you end up in some void and you see a bunch of shadowy figures, with the names of the funders above the shadows? It would be freaking cool as hell at the end to see all the people that came together to help fund this game.

Or, maybe with it being easier, inside the game at night maybe you can stumble upon a graveyard, tombstones with all the names of funders. Or like an underground catacombs. Man, that would be awesome as hell. So many games do the rolling credits, which is awesome, but having something in game feels amazing. Rogue Trader did that with the list inside the computer of the ship. When I found my name on there I was ecstatic!

Not all home grown tomatoes look as scuffed as those ones. The ones we grow only get small "cracks" if you leave them on the tree. Our ones look like that if they get stung by some insect or something. Again, it's obviously different types of tomatoes and climate. They ones they pick for the store are picked green so they're not cracked and then they ripen away from the plant but sometimes the ones in the store are a month old already which isn't necessarily unhealthy or whatever but home grown tomatoes are always way more delicious. Where I live you can still buy the crappy looking vegetables directly from the market but it's not like a bunch of people selling various stuff with their baskets and whatever kind of market, it's a giant warehouse where the farmers stack their produce and then you buy it directly for super cheap plus the crappy ones you can buy in giant bags for hardly any money but you have to wake up at 4am to get there early else all the good deals are gone.

I played this with my girlfriend in a discoed call while she was eating. It was getting dark and I was looking in the catalog and I started hearing something. I thought it was her crunching on something but then when I closed the catalog and turned around I got the worst jump scare.

@Insym The tomatoes we see are normally transgenic, genetically modified to look good, so we buy more of it. They probably are made to take longer to get ripe.

Both times you played, I'm surprised you didn't get the event with the planet sized head in the sky next to the barn. Or maybe you did and never noticed. 😅 I saw it in Special Edds playthrough.

I know you are probably done with this game for now but I believe there is at least one spooky thing you have yet to see. When I played the demo I was shocked that you didn't get it in your two playthroughs and it terrified me. Would love to see your reaction to it

57:51 when you walked out the backdoor it looked like a person walked on the left side as you open the door and gone within a second.

@@babirutafreitas it was moving away and there was like a hissing type of sound (don't know what to call the type of noise) and when turned with his flashlight 5 se later there was nothing that would have looked like it

For exploring the rest of the map, I imagine that’s where the ATV will come in! You’ll probably be able to find parts in the nearby locations to fix the ATV and then it would allow you to venture out much further

I keep a small flock of chicken IRL, about 20ish. I get about 10-15 eggs a day. maybe the eggs are a little OP.

This game reminds me of Mr. Jones’ Graveyard Shift! Only difference is that it’s farming and not starting a cemetery, lol. But the whole premise of spirits coming around at night or being attacked at night just reminded me

This game reminds me so much of the Underhell mod from Half-Life 2. I absolutely loved that mod since it was an amazing blend between horror in the house and just normal shooter style gameplay when leaving the house.

Maybe the fence wich just block chickens is to protect crops from chickens. I was thinking and it say " Only afct chickens, that means, if a monster or predator will not be affected... So they are not protected at all.

16:45 the reason why store-bought fruits and vegetables look so good is because the sellers selectively sell the ones that *look* the best to stores. If they don't look the best, they're discarded or put aside for other purposes and are called "disfigured"
